Came here on the strength of Tripadvisor reviews, wish I hadn't bothered. Really nice inside and busy, but food I thought was poor. Beer battered haggis very fatty, poached egg on top salad was rock hard, burger I had was tough as leather and the mixed grill was swimming in some sort of thin brown liquid, not very nice. If... On a visit to Scotland from Australia we visited The Blair Tavern for dinner with 4 friends on Sunday 9th April, to say that the service we received was poor is an understatement. Four of us arrived just prior to the booked time and were asked to sit in the bar area till our table was ready, we ordered a... More

What a special Easter 🐣 Sunday lunch, beautiful surrounding, beautiful gardens. Food was to perfection & presentation couldn't have.been better. On a sunny day an afternoon could be spent her after food enjoying a refreshment in the lovely gardens. Looking forward to my next visit.

We visited for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon, we arrived at 2.30 without having booked and were lucky to get a table. The surroundings are beautiful with immaculately kept car park and gardens. Inside it's cosy and bright with a real fire, feels like a family atmosphere with several larger parties alongside couples. The lunch menu is extensive... More

After an absence of a few months, along with my wife and two friends, I journeyed into Ayrshire to revisit this restaurant. It has always been a high quality place and this was maintained. The menu is both varied and enticing, cooked and presented well. The standard of service provided was most acceptable. No one should have any concern about... More

Four of us had lunch. Disappointed set lunch menu only available to parties of 6 or more - why?? Food great but portions far too big. Starters huge. We are all big eaters but only one of us could finish their main course. The lamb tangine enormous - lamb delicious with accompanying cous cous and flat bread, but why mash,... More

My family have been using this great place for our family events, including our Golden Wedding, Special Birthdays and meals out. The food is excellent and the staff tremendous. Nothing is too much trouble to accommodate your wishes. The menu prices are very reasonable for quality and quantity, with bar prices to match.

First time back to the Blair for a long time and wasn't disappointed. Food is absolutely amazing. Portions are huge. Husband got the mixed grill which was absolutely massive. All food the food was delicious. Love this place and won't be leaving it as long next time.
