We went there for my girlfriend's birthday. The interior was calm and there was a counter surrounding the teppanyaki. This time we ordered the abalone and spiny lobster course. The meat sushi and wagyu hamburger were excellent and I was impressed. Of course, the seafood and wagyu steaks were delicious as well, and it was great to be able to eat garlic rice with dashi chazuke at the end. Since it was her birthday, they prepared a birthday plate for free. I thought it would be something simple, but they drew a character on it and my girlfriend was really impressed. It was a dinner to remember. Thank you very much.

The food, service, and ambience were awesome. The team knew exactly how to ensure that the guests had a great meal and enjoyed themselves while dining. The head chef knows exactly how to deliver an excellent dining experience. We are looking forward to going again!

I used it for my girlfriend's birthday dinner. They were very courteous from the time of the phone Reservation and I was looking forward to the day. Birthday plates were also flexible. The atmosphere in the restaurant was good, the pace of serving the food was exquisite, and the food was all great! The staff explained each one to me and it was a very good birthday dinner. The cospa was good and very satisfying. I would love to use it again, thank you!

I visited her on her birthday. We came to the store soaking wet from the heavy rain on the day, but we were grateful for the towel preparation and care before the meal. The quality of the food was perfect, so I wanted to come back.

We were very lucky that this small venue could fit us in when we pitched up unannounced. You sit around the chef as he prepares all of the extremely tasty courses on an iron gridle and we recommend a set tasting menu which gets you about 8 courses. Wagyu beef, sushimi, lobster, rice, soup etc ending in dessert. Classy atmosphere but in snug venue ( which by the way is really tricky to find in a back street but absolutely worth it).

We had a great evening and meal at the Grow. We had the set menu, the food was prepared in front of us, about 7 courses. It is a bit pricey but worth it.

What a great experience! We didn’t have reservations, but luckily they had a private room available. The menu was not highly descriptive, but we chose several appetizers, small plates and appetizers. Our server spoke some English and was very kind and accommodating. We started off with a wagyu nigiri topped with scallion. So tender and delicious. Next was the green salad. There were some seared slices of wagyu on top. The wagyu just melts like butter. The dressing was very light and fresh. Next was the assorted sliced fish. Mackerel, ikura and another white fish was served - the mackerel and ikura was sliced - sashimi style, the other fish was cubed and tossed in a light shoyu dressing. The baked mushrooms and baked scallops were delivered to the table next. The scallops were my favorite! Baked and lightly seasoned. Perfectly cooked! A variety of mushrooms were served in a light seasoned sauce. Last but not least was the wagyu sirloin. Perfectly cooked to a medium-rare. Served with salt, fried garlic and wasabi. Amazing! One of the best places I’ve ever been.

It’s a teppenyaki place but with a very non tourist touch. Only locals and good quality of food served a good prices. A good start before hitting the bars at Roppongi.

If you don’t want to pay a fortune to taste a good teppanyaki don’t hesitate to visit this place. Try the set menus! Roppongi is also very nice for a walk.

If you are looking for a special meal in Tokyo, look no further! Grow is unassuming in many ways, hidden down a side street in Roppongi, but the standard of cooking is truly exceptional. I’ve had many good dinners out in Tokyo, but this is without a doubt a head and shoulders above the rest! Not to mention, for the level of quality the prices are very reasonable. We went for the ‘Spiny Lobster’ set menu at 7,500 Yen per person. The four of us sat at the bar, watching the chef and sous chef prepare everything right in front of us on the teppan. Every single dish was delicious - these are chefs you can seriously trust to serve high quality delicious food. The lobster was amazing, but the undisputed highlight was the beef. Our group went for a mix of sirloin and chateaubriand cuts, and both were equally excellent - I’ve never had beef that melts in your mouth quite like this. MELTS. If you only have one night in Tokyo for an authentic Japanese dinner, with the quality of Michelin star food (but without the fuss and insane prices!) - this is it.

Service was extremely prompt despite it being just a two man show (chef and sous chef). My partner and I ordered the 2700 yen sirloin (there is the 1700 Todays Cut and the 3500 Tenderloin cut. Also a 1000 hamburger for non purists [kids etc]) and it was mindblowingly juicy. Watching the chef work is a treat. Highly recommend this place

Ordered the Chateaubriand tenderloin. Maybe the best steak of my life. Easily the best Teppenyaki style steak I've ever had. Order the garlic rice. Comes with a delicious soup broth addition. Make a reservation. People were turned away.

Con: I ordered the "artisans course" with the tenderloin upgrade and wasn't overwhelmed with the meal. The course was satisfactory at most. Pro: Great for a date. The ambiance is just at the right setting. Prices are fair.

I was on the hunt for Wagyu beef when we arrived in Tokyo and came across an article recommending Teppanyaki Grow, which did not disappoint. I called ahead to make a reservation and they took our order over the phone so everything was ready to go when we arrived. I would advise calling ahead as there are only 4 tables and a bar overlooking the kitchen. The restaurant is tucked away in an alley off the beaten path. We sat at the bar (highly recommend) and got to see everything prepared right in front of us. The tasting menu is a great value for the price. 5,900 yen gets you wagyu sashimi, an appetizer plate, salad, soup, 100 grams of wagyu sirloin with a delicious soy foam that melts into the steak, and high quality ice cream for desert. Also, if you're looking for wine to pair with the meal, they carry a reasonably priced red blend from Bulgaria. I was a bit skeptical since I had never had Bulgarian wine, but gave it a shot given my experience with Eastern European reds offering great value in Hungary and the Czech Republic, and was certainly rewarded. All in all this was a phenomenal meal. One of my favorite dining experiences and I consider myself a foodie.
