Dear Hikaru Miyake of Roppongi, selected as one of the 2024 Michelin Guide Tokyo Selected Restaurants.
I was looking for an eel lunch served only on Saturdays!
It's so hot this summer that eels are giving me power.
Reservations can be made through omakase.
Reservations are possible if available from the food log.
The price range is in the 40,000 yen class at night, but lunch is less than 10,000 yen, so I'm glad it's kind for your wallet (*´艸`)
The shop is not far from Roppongi station, but it is a street that goes into the back which is a little confusing.
In real life, we've followed the good smell of eel sauce and we're here!!!
The store has 8 L-shaped counter seats and is full!
There's also a private room in the back.
Reservation was made by:
◆ Lunch only Eel heavy course (for 1 animal) ¥8400 ◆
・Umaki
・ Seasonal side dish is nanbanzuke of Hongatsu Chutoro
・ Chinese cabbage, eggplant and narazuke
・Kimosoi
・ Eel weight
You can choose large, medium, or small eel-heavy rice.
If I was watching, I wonder if he's wriggling where he cut the end of the eel!?
Eating a whole fish is a luxury.
The skin is crispy and the meat is firm and juicy rather than fluffy!
Reservation is required to ensure the number of eels.
The sauce is a hermit's sauce that has been used for a whopping 130 years.
The eel is served with sansho (Japanese pepper), so you can chase it away if you are short.
Even the tangy accented pepper
Both deep-tasting sauces go well with eel.
The tableware used is also beautiful and it is said to be Minoyaki made by the owner who grew up in a kiln in Tajimi.
I am happy with my eyes and stomach.
On the way home, I picked up the eel stick sushi I had Reservationed and left the restaurant.
It is nice to make Reservations for souvenirs.
In the heat, the owner was seeing me off all the way around the corner...
Sorry about the heat, I wish I had hidden along the way:(;´꒳`;)
Great satisfaction with attentive service and hospitality.
She was very, very happy to deliver eel stick sushi to over 70 mothers on her way home.
Thanks for the meal.

"Today, I heard that Mr. Hikaru Miyake of Roppongi is open for lunch on Saturdays only, by Reservation."
Hikaru Miyake was in a calm area, a back alleyway that entered from a busy area in Roppongi.
The lunch course at this restaurant is:
・The eel-heavy course (one eel) was posted on Alamy for 8,400 yen
・ Unagi Juku Course (Two-thirds of Unagi) 7200 yen
There are two types. This, of course, was a one-eel course.
First, here's to a highball!!
【Tuna Nanbanzuke】
When eaten, the tuna is crispy and tastes good.
【Umaki】
There is a big eel in the fluffy egg, which is a good source of sake.
It is also good to eat with grated radish.
After the highball, sake mode!! We will have it from Glory Fuji.
While you are having tuna nanbanzuke tomaki,
In front of you, the eel is slowly cooked over charcoal.
【Eel weight】
When you open the lid of the eel weight, there are eels all over the weight!
One eel is hearty.
This one is Kansai style, so the skin is crisp, the body is fluffy,
It's so delicious.
For eel-heavy rice, choose fewer eyes!! I rely on eels for my sake.
We also had sake (rice wine) and enjoyed eel and sake!!

We enjoyed delicious eel at this hidden restaurant in the back alleys of Roppongi.
When we sat at the counter seat, the interior had a calm Japanese atmosphere, and time was flowing comfortably. The fragrant aroma of eel was also in the air, whetting our appetite.
The first thing that came out was tuna nanbanzuke. The high-quality tuna and the sour sweet vinegar were a perfect match, and it was delicious.
Next, we had eel rolls. The eel wrapped in fluffy eggs with a strong dashi flavor was exceptional.
And finally, the eel rice bowl. The eel was grilled over charcoal, crisp on the outside and plump on the inside. The sauce was neither too thick nor too thin, and the perfect balance brought out the flavor of the eel. With one bite, the texture melted in my mouth and the rich flavor spread, and I was impressed by how delicious it was. The accompanying liver soup and pickles also had an elegant taste, further enhancing the deliciousness of the eel. It was a dish where you could feel the attention to detail.
Furthermore, the service was extremely polite, and the staff were always attentive, allowing us to spend a very elegant time.
Away from the hustle and bustle of Roppongi, we enjoyed exquisite eel in a quiet backstreet. This is the kind of restaurant you'd want to visit on a special occasion. I plan on going back again.

Michelin Guide Tokyo
The owner, Teru Miyake, was appointed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
She is also a popularization goodwill ambassador for Japanese food.
There is lunch time only on Saturdays,
Enjoy a reasonably priced eel course meal
You can eat it.
The nameplate Hikaru MIYAKE is a landmark.
Reservations are required.
It is the eel of Hikaru Miyake's specialties.
You can choose the amount of rice → Less, normal, more.
Unagi sauce was inherited from a long-established Japanese restaurant
A secret sauce that has been used for 130 years.
It is also possible to use chase-down sauce.
Unagi is served in the grilling area inside the counter.
They bake it using Bincho charcoal.
The eel is crisp.
Even though it was baked with Bincho charcoal,
This method of baking is truly craftsmanship.
I've eaten eel grilled with Bincho charcoal.
I think the eel here is excellent.
I was like, how does this change my eel?
It was amazing.
All the dishes used in the dish are Minoyaki, which the owner, Teru Miyake, says is fired in a kiln in his hometown of Tajimi.
Even sticking to the vessel is a milestone.
It was certainly a lovely vessel.
It also seems to have a private room, so it is good for entertaining.
You can enjoy the feeling of live performance at the counter.
It is a popular restaurant for both Japanese and foreigners.

All the dishes were delicious, innovative and beautiful Japanese cuisine.
The eel was excellent.
Udon noodles mixed with truffles. The combination of truffle and sea urchin toppings was fragrant and delicious.
Homemade caviar with a gentle taste, something satisfying.
The chefs are friendly and the explanation of the food is easy to understand
We also enjoyed a variety of dishes handily prepared before our eyes.
The frog decoration that accompanies the tuna in Oma was cute and inspiring.

This was a place where you could eat exquisite eel weights, with the eel and secret sauce, which is grilled right in front of you over a charcoal fire, using ingredients that have been passed down for 135 years. The Kansai-style grilled eel had a wonderful finish with a crispy skin and a fluffy inside.
Selected as a 2024 Michelin Guide Tokyo Selected Restaurant, this restaurant has a beautiful adult space and is recommended for entertaining and dating. The staff were so hospitable and they were great to serve foreigners in English.
Here are the things I ate:
▪️ 【Lunch only! Unagi Heavy Course] forehand 8,400 yen
The amount of eel is the equivalent of one. Saturday and Sunday only
・Seasonal side dishes
The main tuna nanbanzuke is now available. The tuna was very soft and delicious, combined with the texture of the onions. The seasoning and acidity of the nanbanzuke was good, and it raised my appetite for the future course.
・Umaki
The eggs were fluffy and very soft. There are a lot of chopped eels inside. The gentle seasoning of the egg and the taste of the eel matched, and it spread in my mouth and was delicious. It is also a good choice to eat with a little soy sauce and grated dye.
· Incense
The lotus sprouts, Chinese cabbage and narazuke came out. The stems of the lotus sprouts are attached with plum vinegar, and they all feel refreshing, just right for a chopstick rest.
・Kimosoi
It's refreshing, and it's good, unlike the thick taste of eel. The liver of the eel was large, and the moderate bitterness and the taste of the broth combined for an elegant taste.
・ Eel weight
When you open the lid, you will find a beautiful line of cut eels for one. It is mouth-watering. I was recommended to eat it as a bite, and the skin was crisp enough to make a sound when bitten, and the body couldn't stand the fluffy eel. The added sauce has a rich sweet and spicy feel, and the rice goes on. Rice was available in large, medium and small sizes. Sansho and a sauce that can be added are also served. You can also taste it to your liking. I personally like to eat it with chasen sauce and sansho, and it was a very satisfying and delicious eel.
▪️Lychee barley tea
Thanks for the meal.

Fantastic degustation. We are not Japanese speakers, but our chef Junya was able to accomodate and explain each dish to us clearly enough such that we could appreciate and enjoy them. The choice of flavour combinations and pacing of the menu were well thought through, and nothing seemed out of place. Some standouts from our menu were the chutoro with the onion pickle, grilled taichio, miyazaki caviar, grilled aged eel, unagi don, wagyu (especially with the citrusy japanese peppercorns), and the daifuku with orange and red bean paste. Definitely would love to go back again the next time we are back in Tokyo.

The atmosphere of the restaurant, the taste of the food and the hospitality were all perfect.
I was very satisfied from start to finish with all the dishes that were visually pleasing as well as tasteful.
The menu offers a selection of time-consuming dishes you wouldn't expect. What kind of food will come out next? I was excited after every meal.
Tuna from Oma, homemade caviar, too fluffy eel..we had the most delicious and wonderful experience.
The chefs were very friendly and easy to talk to, and they told us about the food and trivia.
The whole atmosphere was very good and we had a good time.
I'd like to visit at lunchtime next time.

A good shop tucked away in a back alley in Roppongi.
There are about 10 seats in the restaurant, and the customer base is calm and you can eat slowly.
This time I had eel weight and a small bowl for lunch. You can see how it is baked in the Kansai style, over a charcoal fire. I have no complaints about the food. There was also quite a variety of sake, not only sake, but even whisky.
The plates are painted and baked by the owner, Hikaru Miyake, who is from a Minoyaki pottery background.
It was a good price but worth a visit.

Use for family festive dinners
From starters to desserts, carefully selected ingredients are used, of which the main eel was very satisfying because it was enjoyed twice
The customer service attitude was good and it was recommended for both foreign and Japanese customers.

Make a Reservation through OMAKASE
We had a special eel-heavy lunch course.
This time it was a Sunday, but it was open on a Sunday once a month.
In a modern and calm atmosphere
Wrapped in an interior that glows with the essence of Japanese
We had a luxurious time.
In this lunch course, you can indulge in exquisite eel with fresh eel. Forget the hustle and bustle of Roppongi and relax in a quiet environment.
Weekend relaxing lunch and family
Perfect for special occasions with friends.
◯ Lunch limited eel course
Lively eel kabayaki grilled in front of you over charcoal fire: The secret swelter uses the hermit's sauce, which has been passed down for 130 years and has a deep flavor.
Nanbanzuke: It has a refreshing taste.
Anonymous: It's wrapped in a fluffy egg.
An exquisite dish with a soft scent of finely chopped eel.
Incense: The refreshing incense enhances the taste of eel.
Anonymous: Elegant soup made with eel liver.
Eel weight: By baking with strong charcoal fire,
The taste of eel is condensed.
The skin is plump during crispness.
In particular, since Kansai-style jiyaki is baked without steaming,
You can enjoy the fatty and fragrant taste.
I enjoyed it slowly at the counter seating about 6 people.
I was also touched by the hospitality of the staff. Thank you for a lovely lunch!
Eel stick sushi as a souvenir
I will never forget the joy of being home.

Revisit.
Every time, I am very satisfied with the delicious and pleasant service as expected. They use high-end ingredients and then dabble in them to create even more delicious dishes.
The signature dish, the eel, was grilled in a 135-year-old sauce in the Kansai style, and the skin was fluffy and very delicious and suited to the signature.
The plates are all handmade by the general, Teru Miyake, and look gorgeous and lovely.
I hear you have been selected for the 2024 Michelin Tokyo Selected Restaurant, but I think it is only a matter of time before it becomes a starred restaurant.
I would love to go there again.

There's nothing to complain about, not just the food, but the service. Each of the dishes that felt the four seasons tasted delicate and looked beautiful, allowing us to enjoy them with our five senses. The eel on the sign is definitely the best I've ever eaten. I want to visit this shop according to the season, autumn and winter.

An extraordinary restaurant in a back alley of Roppongi.
The restaurant has rows of counter seats and a chic, relaxed atmosphere.
The eel is grilled locally in the Kansai style, with the crispy skin and exquisite aroma.
The staff are also excellent, speaking fluent English to assist overseas customers.
I visited for lunch this time, but would like to return for dinner next time.

The taste, the personality of the chef and the atmosphere of the restaurant were all great.
The dishes were all made with fresh ingredients and cooked right in front of my eyes.
I was impressed to see live crabs, eels and ayu. The original caviar tastes gentle and is exquisite. I was very impressed by every dish I had.
I enjoyed it even more than the chef made the explanation of the food easy to understand.
There was a calm but friendly atmosphere in the store, and I felt very comfortable.
Personally, the dishes were nice and soothing.
