The ambience, food and service are all top notch. The atmosphere has got a cozy and vibrant feel to it. The staff is very friendly too. Had great chats with the owner who is very passionate about giving the best service to his costumers. The...quotes within the restaurant are inspiring, in particular the ones by ayrton senna who was much more than just a good racerMore

Scrumptious food and friendly staff. Been there a few times for Lunch and Dinner. Plenty of options for Veg and Non Veg. Also Owner Bonnie is so co-operative that you may ask for custom dish. If not too busy they may accommodate you as per...your needs. But you need to communicate and ask. You will enjoy the quotes on walls while you wait for food and if you get a chance to meet the owner Bonnie then it’s cheery on the top. Bonnie is nice and down to earth guy. Must visit and give it a try.More

This gem, was a lifesaver on a Sunday afternoon, when most restaurants were closed. So happy they were. This indian curry meal was sooooooo good and tasty. Lovely little restaurant, not too much, not to little, but emphasis on good fresh food.

On the very first day in Tokyo my wife identified this place and we decided to check it out. After traveling for about 15 days prior in other Asian counties, we were craving for some real authentic Indian meal. On the very first evening dinner,...we liked the food and the ambiance so much that we end up coming back here for every single dinner, total 3 out of our stays of 3 nights in Tokyo. Not only the food was the most delicious, more importantly, it was the ambiance with which it is filled with love, positive energy radiating from quotes of Nobel people and colorful decoration. Along with the magnetic and loving personality of the owner, Bonnie, made us feel like sitting in a “True Temple” and experiencing some form of spiritual feelings. What can I say, we have travelled over 60 countries across 6 continents, never enjoyed so much of everything. Truly, a great place to be while in Tokyo. Normally I don’t write reviews because of my laziness but here I got compelled by my heart and sprit and, therefore, did this. If there was an option, I would have given a 7-star rating. That’s my true feeling!!!More

Genuinely one of the best authentic restaurant curries we have ever had! We read some reviews before we decided to go and still had some doubts about how it could be THAT good but everything was so delicious! The flavours were exceptional and the consistency...of the curry was perfect. We’ve had many curries back home in London and this was by far one of the most authentic and similar to home cooked Indian food you could get. The service was also 10/10 and the ambience is great. You’re missing out if you don’t go here in Tokyo!!More

This is a small, very casual place with a friendly host backed up by a talented kitchen staff . All of the dishes were nicely prepared, chicken tikka masala, chicken hot pepper and coconut prawn curries were all superb, paired well with the garlic naan....A solid choice, great food, fair prices.More

This little Indian restaurant in Akasaka/Roppongi is some of the best Indian food I have had in terms of freshness. We went on New Year’s Day as it was one of the few restaurants open, which meant we had to wait to get in, and...then our food took a very long time. The owner did come and personally apologize and explained that it’s because they make everything fresh. I accepted his apology because indeed the food tasted very fresh - unlike a lot of Indian restaurants where it tastes as though they are just reheating pre-made food, def not the case at Downtown B’s. The decor and atmosphere are a little bizarre - there is what can only be described as a shrine to a deceased Brazilian race car driver all over the walls, with biblical versus interspersed in here and there. Totally random and incomprehensible decor. But don’t come for the atmosphere come for the quality of the food!More

Great delicious fresh tasty Indian food with lots of gluten free options. We researched for GF options for our daughter with coeliac and travelled across town to this great little gem. B is extremely knowledgable and pointed us to some great sights that we wouldn’t...have found. Small homely restaurant that I made a booking for over the phone and pleased that I did. Thanks B for a great night.More

B’s extensive background in 5 star hospitality shines through in this excellent Indian shokudo. We dined there twice during our Tokyo visit and he remembered our names on our second visit and which dishes we liked. The restaurant is popular with both locals and foreign...visitors. It is a very welcoming, warm and friendly restaurant, we loved the decorations and Steve McCurry photos of India, it’s not OTT or flashy, it’s just like eating in someone’s home. And the food! One of the delights of Japan is the diversity of food choices, not just Japanese food, and it is a treat to have such an authentic home cooked Indian meal. As vegetarians we appreciated the wide range and especially loved the channa and Dahl fry. Good beer choices, wines, what’s not to love! We will remember our dinners there and B’s hospitality as one of the highlights of a varied holiday in Japan.More

A gem of a place serving tasty, good value Indian food. It’s very small so we were fortunate to score a table on a busy night. We each had a dinner set and cleaned our plates fully so that speaks for itself. It’s a simple...restaurant with friendly staff serving honest, delicious Indian food.More
