With a Chou parisien to go with it. Very clean, comfortable with free wi fi. Tried to get the corner and very cosy table

For an international chain, the bread of offer is world class. Possibly the best we had in Tokyo. Perfect option for a sandwich and pastry - you won't be disappointed.

First of all, I am aware of La Maison Kayser in Paris, and the fact their bread tastes delicious and especially their croissants are perfectly fantastic. During my Tokyo stay, I sometimes get the croissants or baguette at Maison Kayser shop at Tokyo Midtown since I'm staying near by. Needles to say, they are taste awesome. Regarding Marunouchi Cafe however, I was unexpectedly disappointed for a lunch place. Just because the portion looks like for kids, it doesn't mean the taste is palatable. From the water glass, the soup cup, slice of bread, and tea or coffee cup, everything looked like sample size. I'm neither a glutton nor heavy eater, generally maybe eat less than average portion. But still they couldn't satisfy my appetite. That's why even though the lunch costs ¥1,000- , considering the portion size I don't have a positive feeling. But I would say the hall stuff were working very well, trying to make customers comfortable. IMHO, probably as boulangerie, this shop would be valuable for Marunouchi and Otemachi office workers. Thus if you're starving or aim something substantial dish, it's not the place you should go.

I happened to wander into an area and discovered Maison Kayser. I thought I'd pick up a couple of things. They had bread with pistachios and figs, and their most popular croissant, which was soaked in syrup and turned into a flattened loaf of bread - it was delicious. There was some trouble with the cash register, so I had to wait a bit, but the line continued. There was clearly a longer line than at the other bakeries.
