We were planning on breakfast following our morning walk to the restaurant. We opened the door to a smoke filled establishment. I truly wish we could have tried the food, but instead we chose not to breathe the secondhand smoke.

This coffee shop is a local's hangout – you can tell by the regulars that have breakfast every morning. The coffee is excellent; they don't do espressos, but still it's very smooth and drinkable. The breakfasts are an amazing bargain, with gorgeous fluffly buttered toast....More

Found this place walking to the markets to do some grocery shopping. It was exactly what we were looking for - a cute cafe with nice food and great service.

Breakfast meal acceptable. Old school cafe feel. Coffee was ok and breakfast pass. Not bad. With so much to offer in Kyoto won’t rush back but it filled the gap for myself and travel companion to start our day.

This has an old school fit out. Simple vibe where things slow down here. We had 4 people and were seated upon arrival. The toast was thick and coffee was a satisfactory blend. Only warning is people do smoke indoors.

Come here for breakfast with my wife as the breakfast is served until 11.00 am. I normally have the omlette with the little sausages & it also comes with a little potato salad. The coffee is also very nice. The styling is a little bit retro...More

Old-school Japanese breakfast joint. Most regulars smoke cigarettes and sip on coffee as they read the morning paper inside this modest cafe whose interior still sports an older decor. It's very authentic. I actually hesitated to give this 4 stars; still, it's an experience, the...More
