We had a lovely time at this charming restaurant. A real “mom and pop” family owned French spot. The atmosphere was wonderful, and the owners were very kind. They translated the entire (lengthy!) specials menu for us into English. We had a very full meal...More

We came to this restaurant because of a recommendation and positive reviews. Unfortunately our experience was different. Firstly the restaurant is not geared up for non-japanese speakers and secondly they have no clue about service. The food is ok but is served at breakneck speed....More

We found this charming classic french restaurant by accident. We had a wonderful true french meal. High quality like you hope to find it in Paris at a very reasonable price. Charming athmosphere. Dorte and Finn, Copenhagen

Just returned from an outstanding evening. The dinnner including the wines was perfect. Lovely salmon, beef, duck and seabrass. Desserts were also perfect. Even a Pernod was available!! This place is managed by a lovely couple with great hospitality. Absolutely a must to visit!!

While enjoying fantastic japanese cuisine during 3 weeks travel in Japan I had cravings for French cuisine on new years day. I didn't have high expectations of a French restaurant in Japan. The food was so so, as expected. But what really bothered me is...More

Nishijin District
A district with a long textile heritage, ancient Kyoto
is still alive in the Nishijin District. Studded with
its weaving factories, tea houses, and onsen, the
neighborhood is charming and peaceful with a
self-possessed air. Less traveled than other parts of
the city, it is a district where you can take it at
your own pace. Visitors can explore the many weaving
and cloth houses, the free kimono shows, and the many
