This place is just fantastic. The breakfasts are top and the bread is probably the best German Vollkorn in the country! I've never found anything else like it in a city. Got some German grocery faves on the shelves and that great Ritter Sport chocolate. Apparently – and i'll do this next time – the iced coffee with the home... More

This is a place I always like to visit when I am in Peregian Beach. Located on the village green there is plenty of space for the kids to run around while you enjoy coffee and a plate of yummy food. I love the eggs in a glass (hard boiled with breads. Fabulous fresh bread from dark rye to a... More

The food is pretty great. The coffees pretty good too but it's nearly always so crowded we find it hard to get a table and then the wait is long. Also it's not that friendly : no warm greeting, no 'be with you in a minute' ...I think some places like this at Peregian could use a shake up- tourists... More

We go to Baked Poetry regularly and it is always so fresh and delicious. Must have the Baked Poetry Iced Coffee...it comes as a long glass of ice with a huge scoop of homemade icecream on top and a jug of hot coffee (double shot) which you pour over the icecream to your taste. Just delicious. If you have room,... More

I have eaten here a couple of times & the quality of the food & coffee really is fantastic. First visit was for cake & coffee, the Bavarian Apple Slice was superb & the Vienna Coffee was too! Second visit was for breakfast & the Eggs in a glass with Bacon & Cheese topped baked Tomatoes served with a selection... More

Got our order wrong, and when we sent it back the woman who had taken the order came out and was rude, aggressive, and told us it was all our fault. Food wasn't anything special, and service was very slow.

It's like being in a little part of Europe. They have some specialty breads they make, which sell out quickly. Coffee is a special experience. Has a long track record and it well liked by locals and visitors alike.

Always good and famous for its German bread this cafe is always busy so you might have trouble getting a table. Serving a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes there is something for everyone here. If you want to take home some bread be warned as they regularly sell out!

The worst coffee ever. I ordered a caffe latte, what arrived was a massive baby chino (in a pot / middy beer glass) with a single shot of coffee on the side. It was like a total miss take of a French style caffe latte unfortunately what has been lost in translation is the fact that its the milk is... More

A popular eatery for locals and visitors. Beautiful smells waft out the doors from the amazing breads and pasteries . A popular breakfast and brunch location and the coffee was pretty good too. Do yourself a favour and have the egg in a cup yummo
