Must visit for delicious food!

This place is definitely worth the hype! Delicious fresh food cooked with heart and soul by the people who run the place. We visited Dewmini for lunch and had the rotis (savoury and sweet). We also placed an order for the rice and curries (Needs to be pre-ordered) for dinner. Needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Prices are extremely easy on the pocket. Do visit when in Mirissa.

We ordered 2 rotty with egg, prawns, and chicken plus 3d one with avokado. All of them were DELICIOUS and served on a side with couple of sri lanka special sauces. Juices are great too. The place is run by very professional locals, the food is deliveres in no time, exceptional service and prices. 101% RECCOMMENDATION Will come back!!! And absolutely a must when in Mirissa.

It's popular for a good reason!

This restaurant was recommended to us and we really liked it. The staff are always very friendly and the food is constantly good. We went for breakfast and also for lunch a couple of times. The fresh fruit juices are very nice too! The prices are good considering how popular this place is. Obviously not as cheap as a little 'locals' place, but for a tourist restaurant it's very well priced. Good for families with kids too as there are lots of child friendly food options so they are bound to see something that they will want to eat. Everytime we went it was always busy, so they have built a good reputation. It's well deserved. You certainly won't be disappointed. The breakfasts were really good. We also enjoyed the avocado, tomato and cheese roti, the banana and honey roti is fantastic! The kotu here is also very good (not stodgy and heavy like many other places)! No wonder this place is so popular. Great tasting, freshly made food at a very reasonable price.

The service was so slow. Asked for the bill 3 times to different people and they politely said yes and continued to not bring it. Food took its time to come out, we both had different sweet rotis which were bland and not that sweet. Toilet was filthy.

Great little Roti shop

Went here for dinner the other night and it was quite good. Very simple little place, just a short ways off the beach. Food was great! We split A few different Rotis. They also make a good looking Kottu.. Oddly enough we also split a peanut butter milkshake that was really really good! Two thumbs up over here and I’d definitely recommend this place for an authentic Sri Lankan dinner. It got pretty crowded, but people come and go rather quickly so if there’s a wait it should be short.. we also saw them wrapping up a 3 hour cooking class that looked quite involved if you’re into that kind of thing.

Delicious roti!

My friend and I had been recommended this place by a friend and we were not disappointed. Best roti around. It is a family run business and everyone is so lovely. The owner showed us her garden where she grows her vegetables and allowed us to pick some and take them home. This place is a must to go to.

Good but order carefully

I enjoyed my experience at this restaurant. The food came up quickly and the price was right, just be careful. I accidentally ordered some pre made rotis which made for a lousy experience. They were greasy and cold but the fresh roti that I received was absolutely delicious. The service was fast friendly and efficient so I highly recommend this restaurant.

Our favourite restaurant in Sri Lanka

We came across this little gem after our whale watching tour. We didn’t really know what to expect but we’re blown away by the delicious food especially the kottu and banoffee crepe!! Our whole family loved it so much that we decided to go back a second time the next day (we only spent 2 days in Mirissa so you can imagine how much we liked it). We stayed a total of 13 days in Sri Lanka and I can confidently say, this was one of the best meals we had there 😍 highly recommend

We returned to this restaurant several times because it had amazing dishes (sweet and savoury rotis, fried rice and great avo smoothies). It is also super affordable, clean and has friendly service. It is in a small lane behind the main road but is worth the 3 min walk. They have a shaded outdoor area with cute cats and a pet dog as well .

Must eat here!

This place is so good, it's the only place in Sri Lanka we went to multiple times to eat. The traditional food is great - Kottu roti, string hoppers, etc. But they also do some interesting other things on their menu - the avocado roti is a good example. The peanut butter shake is great too!

Perfect Roti and Kottu!

This place has the best Roti and Kottu in Sri Lanka! We really enjoyed the food. No matter what we tasted, it was never a disappointment! We came to this restaurant 5 or 6 times, because of the excellent price-performance ratio. The food was never bad. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone and would definitely come again, if we visit Mirissa again someday. Definitely the Roti No. 1 in Sri Lanka and in our hearts!

Another double wow experience

Visited once again and twice over on consecutive days with a few family members, for some it was their 1st visit for a Roti feast. As usual the seafood roti and chicken roti with cheese was just awesome. Chicken and vege soup ordered was also fantastic. Moved on to sweet roti corner and the Bannoffie (with ice cream) was just out of this world. The peanut butter roti with chocolate was also fabulous. The Banana Milkshake was a dream treat to the thirsty taste buds. The Western breakfast served was plentiful and fabulous as advertised on menu. All in all great mouthwatering food served with a warm friendly smile from the team. Have to mention the lady behind it all and that's Gayani who makes every effort to speak to all of her customers and ensure they've had a great Mirissa foodie experience. Keep up the good work and we shall be back for sure.

Incredible Food

Someone told us about this place we decided to try it. Incredible stuff. Good vegetarian options. Service is a little slow due to less staff and a lot of customers. So order everything together if you can. Definitely have the milkshakes and the roti.

Well worth a visit!

The Dewmini Roti Shop does not disappoint! We visited after reading trip advisor, seeing the review in lonely planet and being recommended by a friend. The place itself is quite basic but there are plenty of tables, my boyfriend and I each had a roti and shared a chocolate and banana roti for dessert. It was really cheap and the service was great. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic dinner!

This place is a little off the main road but absolutely worth the 5 min walk to. We had veg soup and kottu (veg and egg) which was fantastic! Sick lovely staff. Dishes are from 300Rs to 1500Rs most being about 1000Rs.
