i was out for a european food lunch and this small restaurant was just what i needed. no fancy thrills but honest, decent food at moderate pricing. The German owner, a nice fellow, did have a pleasant chat with us as well. And with over 20 years of living in Thailand he can keep the conversation going. Don't expect a... More

Frank is always welcoming you with good food, drinks, and extreme knowledge of the region. A very simple bar and restaurant that just works.

Thanks to Mr. Frank and wife Nong for the nice food and the time i had at your place. I'm living in Sisaket, but don't often eat out, as my wife's a very good cook. I had a very delicious Schnizel "Vienna Style", with a lovely potato salad, a salad with an outstanding good garlic sauce. The food was excellent... More

I returned to Livin in the past on this year's visit to Si Sa Ket. The schnitzel was delicious, the bock beer was an unexpected treat and Frank was his charming self. Prices were better than moderate, rought $5 a meal. Thanks again Frank for the great meal, I look forward to seeing you again

Hello all, I've been living in Sisaket for 12 years and know Frank for quite a long time. He serves decent German and English food, always has a cold beer for the thirsty travelers and seems to be the most knowledgeable foreigner in Sisaket. His wife and Frank are very nice people and very helpful regarding any problems/questions, etc people... More

This is a very simple place. They don’t even have a menu, offering a range of daily specials instead. I had the Zigeuner Schnitzel, also called gypsy schnitzel, topped with a bell pepper sauce. It was very good. Another customer I was chatting with had ordered an Indian style curry dish (Tikka Masala?) and he said it was very good,... More

I went here Jan 15, 14 at 8:30 and the place was closed. My review, although accurate, was not rated very fairly. After communicating with Frank, I returned a few days later - and again and again. Livin in the Past is not a bar as I had read. It is more a meeting place that has food and beer.... More

I had a couple of excellent German meals at Living in the Past in recent weeks. The host is very friendly and the other guests were a pleasure to chat with. Quality food at reasonable prices. Good beer and out door seating. Worth the effort to find, hint for the taxi drver, it is next to the only mosque in... More

Been coming here for 5+ years and the only place in town I go to, other places have come and gone, there is a reason this place still exists. Good food and very friendly owners, but what keeps me coming back is the nice relaxed atmosphere always a friendly and nice clientele you can have a chat with. It is... More
