Having tried most of the restaurants in Marie Galante, I can say that this one is by far the very best. I go even further : it was one of the best French restaurants I've ever been to. The Punch coco cocktail was ridiculously good...and the fish and the desserts... Just Wow!!!More

Some friends told us to try this place and it's been a great advice. The quality is very high, better than any other restaurant we tried in Guadeloupe and Marie-Galante. Plus they have a super service, totally of another level especially considering what we were...used to in the area, just few examples: a knife fell on the floor and in 10 sec we had a clean one without even demanding, both waiters/tresses and the chef in person politely came to ask if everything was fine, never being intrusive but always available for us and kind. My father, 65 y.o. and >40 countries traveled, told it was one of the best langouste ever and I can only agree. Side dishes were great too. The price? In line with all the other restaurants here, but this one, last but not least, also has a very nice ambiance. A wise choice to spend money and time!More

After reading all the positive reviews about this restaurant, we decided to go there. We both chose the grilled Lobster with creole sauce. The lobster was mushy, and the creole sauce was boring. The restaurant was full and the service was slow. But the place...looked nice.More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and made a reservation for us. This is important as it gets very busy. The staff are friendly and both made a real effort to explain to us in english what was on offer. With this and our little french...we got by. We had an amazing starter for two people which had four appetisers. There was endless melba toast made from baguette. We both had fish for the main course and my tuna was cooked to perfection. We highly recommend a visit.More

We made a reservation for La Playa and we were not disappointed. The service is excellent and the food amazing. I had the best beef, but my husband loved the fish trilogy. The cocktails were great (we had mojitos). Both waiters tried their best to...explain us in English the menu and we really appreciate their service. This restaurant is indeed the best in Marie Galante, I totally recommend. Just make sure you book your table with at least a day in advance, otherwise you won’t get a table.More

We came here for three nights because we weren't told Each night we ordered fish and every time we ordered for a "rare" cook on the fish, we received well done.

We were fortunate to have dinner at La Playa for two of our three nights on Marie-Galante. The seafood was fresh and perfectly prepared. Service was friendly and prompt also. I highly recommend this restaurant and ranks as one of the best we have tried...in Guadeloupe. We went early the first night and were lucky to get a table, but I would recommend making reservations.More

We had a lovely meal here...not inexpensive and not wildly unusual but good fish, goos dessert and the staff was great about making off menu entrees for the vegetarians in our group.

The service was very bad with the waiters pushing for us to order and not being very helpful or patient. The lobster was overcooked. The steak was raw, we asked to cook again and they served it hard as a shoe and then they blamed...it on us.More

Good morning, I am the manager and chef of the restaurant, I have no knowledge or recollection of such a situation or problem as you describe it. Are you sure it's all in my restaurant? cordially
