A great afternoon outing for visitors to Victoria is the one hour drive to the Kinsol Trestle, an hour spent walking there, and then 15 minutes to the Amuse restaurant before crossing the Malahat pass on the drive back. Amuse is a converted farmhouse in a pastoral setting of vineyards. Several outside and semi outside seating options. The menu is... More

Sitting on the patio overlooking the vineyard, we experienced the best culinary delight. From the time we arrived the service was excellent, and the food indescribable. I will be thinking of this meal for a long time. Such a beautiful setting overlooking the vineyard, they brought out each course, and the only disappointment was my empty plate. I would highly... The first time I went was with the Vancouver Island chapter of my pension. The round tables were set up under the trees with white napery and sparkling glasses. The food was a delicious buffet of sides of salmon accompanied by a compote of caramelized onion and rhubarb, chicken pieces, roast potatoes (some were underdone), a mixed green salad with... More

My husband and I have been to this restaurant on 3 previous occasions in its former location in Shawnigan Lake. The new premises at Unsworth Vineyards is much superior. We choose this restaurant to celebrate special occasions such as New Year's Eve or a birthday or anniversary. It is an expensive restaurant, the bill usually coming in at around $200... More

This place is simply fantastic. My wife and I had lunch in their old location a few years back and thought it would be fun to have dinner during a brief stop in Victoria during a cruise to Alaska. Our entire group went (11 people including 2 children under 10) and after a very long car ride to the new... More

Group of 40 people - sat outside next to the vineyard and garden. Watched the chefs in the garden choosing their herbs and vegetables. We had a set menu and no one could finish. The food was beautifully plated, flavours fresh and creative and service was friendly, fast and attentive. Lattees are a must!

Amuse is a 5 star restaurant and always has been from its first opening in the Shawnigan Village location to its new spot at the vineyard. Excellent local produce and Brad is always thinking up new specialties. The addition of wine pairings has from the vineyard has added a new touch. I love the new casual room as well!

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner. A knowledgeable waiter, professional waiter served us in a traditional, victorian dining room. The food was local, fresh, beautifully presented and tasted superb. I would say that the menu was small, but the chef was able to amend my meal to accommodate my food allergies. At the end of the evening, we waited for... More

The girls went for lunch. Our first time to the "new" Amuse. Lovely setting, gorgeous building and views. As a vegetarian I found the options extremely limited, and neither the soup nor the main course I had to order contained protein. Also the wine was excellent but with my soup, small entree and wine I spent over $60. I recommend... More

Had the pleasure of sampling the breakfast/brunch menu of Amuse Bistro when they first opened. Fresh, local ingredients are used throughout. I tried their spanish omelet. When it arrived, I wasn't too sure as it looked nothing like an omelet I've seen before. Well, let me tell you it was simply the best I have ever tasted. A host of... More
