This is a secret place that only you get to know through locals or your travel agent. Its a very small restaurant and you need to book in advance. They have chef's set 6 course menu only and that changes every day and you need...to suggest in advance if you have any preferences or allergies The food was very mouth watering and sumptous. The food served is local cuisine with some touch of fusion by the chef. Its a family runned food place inside an old house and they have tried to maintain most of the original part of house like walls and doors which gives a very unique ambitence, Its an expensive food joint but worth the experienceMore

It is located in a small lane of a heritage. Great chef cook using excellent material and recipe. You must book like a private dining, and there is no menu. The chef will cook what is available on that day. Enjoy excellent local food in...a heritage house! Fantastic!!More

This approx. 140 years old houses-on both sides of the street provide a unique atmosphere. Only a few tables are available-a reservation should be obligatory. The course of dishes served was extraordinary and delicious. The chef offered us a bet-find out wish fruit was used...for the salad dressing and get 50% off-he won ;-) In one of the buildings you will find a small museum-definitely worth a glimpse!More

Didn't get to a good start as the owners said that they will close at 9pm but everywhere we checked out online said that this place closes at 10pm....I guess it was a slow night and they wanted to go home early. We were summoned...to get there by 8:15pm...we went because of the reviews here. To sum up the meal was nice but rushed...a special but simple meal. Lots of rice and lots of simple dishes... Check it out if you can get there earlier than 8pm...more time to relax and eat...if not go get food elsewhere!More

The location, the interior deco, the history of the house, those made the dining experience special, for both foreigners and the locals. But how about the food? It's very common that tourists come to Tainan for street foods. I'll suggest that instead of hanging around...queueing for foods, it'll be worthwhile to make a reservation here at this restaurant. From milkfish, stew pork, local greens, soup, etc, my friends and myself ate in a well food journey in one meal time. Not fancy style, for that is never Tainan style. No menu, for that here people prefer fresh and seasonal items. Sincerity and hospitality and above all, delicious food, that what it'll offer and what I like to reconmmend.More

West Central District/ North District
The West Central District is the most populous and the
busiest area. A lot of shops and hotels crowd the
district, and the long-standing history results in a
variety of street food. In addition to that, this
district also has the highest number of temples. This
is how it got the name “Tainan’s Pantheon.” Historic
buildings are literally ubiquitous. For example,
