This is the most beautiful Chinese deco restaurant I’ve ever seen. Black and red interior design made us feel incredibly special plus comfort seatings in dinning area. We had a set menu of NT2680 each consists of 13 dishes. They were all incredibly well presented...but we didn’t feel like having Chinese meals, somehow there was something missing in the cooking. My sister thought there was not enough spices in the food, chefs have used expensive ingredients but lack of flavours. Abalone was quite tough and lobster was overcooked. What a shame as this place is amazing but food does not match its deco.More

Very exclusive environment and design/decor -Black imperial - cold! And the food was not tasty at all - it was served like an execution -the service was robotic, automatic - restaurant was almost empty!

It was very excellent and exciting experiences for having fine cuisine there. But today we experienced a disappoint meal. The most expensive or the highest tag of set menu were barely unacceptable by its quality and performanced weird. Comparing to Beijing, It was not worthy...to visit again.More

Apparently a very high end Chinese restaurant founded in china and has several branches around the world, including Taipei Food comes in individual sets and they can get up to $300-400 per person About 6 starters and 4 mains. The mains also come in small...portions and perhaps for good reason as the 6 starters filled me up already In terms of taste, it's only above average but not incredible . Not sure if it's because the portions are bite sized onlyMore

Family Li Imperial Cuisine is a very famous Beijing restaurant that has achieved some international fame, now having branches not only in Beijing but also Tianjin, Shanghai, Paris, Tokyo and Taipei. I have eaten in most of them but I found this Taipei branch the...most beautifully decorated: it was opened more than one year ago and is doing good business although at highend. It is located on the third floor of a luxury department store on the same floor as Robuchon. Li Imperial Cuisine, or Lijacai, has achieved international recognition, its Tokyo branch once achieved Michelin 2 star status and the master chef Ivan Li has received lifetime achievement status according to the World's 50 Best Restaurant rating. I find it strange that this exquisite restaurant of the highest grade is not listed by TripAdvisor and I am happy to put this right. The restaurant is expensive based on set tasting menus of multiple courses, 6 aperitifs and 4 hot dishes plus dessert for each menu, courses being offered in small tapa size, as this is well-known to customers. Good that Taipei has now added this to their list of top restaurants.More
