It is a town house where the owner takes care of you and recommends you, an older lady who does quite a bit. We ordered a very good lebaniego stew and soup for three and I ordered a very good grilled rib. For dessert, delicious lamb's lettuce. You cannot reserve and you have to pay in cash. It's a pleasure to visit places like this in town.

The best chance is to discover this charming restaurant with wonderful views of a beautiful waterfall and where the aroma of things cooked over low heat and with love fill the place. We ordered lebaniego stew; the BRUTAL noodle soup (first time my boyfriend tried it and he almost ate the entire bowl), the texture of the broth and the perfect cooking point of the noodles. Sublime meat and chickpeas, little more to add to a marriage that has been in the kitchen and facing the public for more than 40 years. Just one thing, I keep dreaming about the dessert I ordered, that canon... From tuition. Thank you for existing ☺️ we will definitely return and a must visit to eat at home if you pass through Picos de Europa. They don't take reservations there, you go there without looking at the clock, simply to enjoy

It is the best restaurant in Cantabria. Just spectacular. It is true that they only accept payment in cash, but it is worth every euro. It is quite economical, the portions are quite large. The mountain bake is wonderful, I wish I could eat it every day of my life. The amazing canon too. Very very happy with the place.

Spectacular site, both for its location and for how beautiful it is. And what about the lady wearing it? An exquisite deal, and she alone carries the whole living room Great food, 100 percent right. We ordered baked because that day there was no fabada and ribs, for dessert cheesecake. Big plates. Quality price of 10.

Dining room attended only by an older lady, although there are not many tables, I recommend taking it easy. Basically we had stew lebaniego and lamb's lettuce for dessert. Both one and the other, without being bad, there are better ones in Liébana.

A very cozy place, it is not very big and with a waterfall next to it, hearing the water while you eat. The food was excellent, we ate the liebariego stew with soup, which I have no words for, and lamb's lettuce for dessert, spectacular. Payment is in cash, the only bad thing is that the restaurant has very little parking and there is no place to leave the car because it is a highway, so if you go in high season or on weekends it is advisable not to go too late. We ate 10

How wonderful! We were recommended by the owners of the rural house where we stayed and what a success! We repeat the next day and no more Because we are running out of days! A frankly charming lady who attends the months! Their broth and noodle soup are crazy! The ribs and schnitzel are brutal! And the coffee flan! We will certainly see each other again if we ever return to the area!

Excellent food and service. one got the Fillet of Beef another got the fillet of lamb and others got the cocido completo (meat, potato & chickpea stew). It was all very delicious. We came at a very busy time, but got seated quickly and the one waitress who took care of everyone, although very busy, got and our orders and food all delivered timely and accurately. It was amazing as she is an older lady and an owner. She told us she just can't find any help since very few are willing to work among the young people in Spain. She said they all want a free ride from the government. There is adequate parking divided in two lots one on each side of the restaurant looking from the highway.

We chose this restaurant because of the good reviews here. My family and I sat there alone all evening, on wooden chairs that were not comfortable at all. The service was bad, the bread was dead dry, the escalope was in fact a mediocre schnitzel, and the fillet was the same just without the crust. My ribs had no meat on them and were shameful. Horrible experience, would not recommend this place to the worst of my enemies.

We've encountered great reviews on TripAdvisor, and came eager to celebrate a holiday. Expectations aside, the food wasn't good to say the least. Everything came fried, with lots of extra oil. The 4 expensive dishes were mediocre. Find a better place to spend your precious evening!

We visited the restaurant twice and both times we were very pleased. A cute elder lady is in charge in the kitchen I guess. They use fresh ingredients, so there's a possiblity they ran out of certain dishes in the evening. Especially their cocido lebaniego is rich and delicious. Don't forget the order a homemade desert!

After en extensive tour through Europe, my family stops in this awesome restaurant. We expect another tourist trap ( very common in surround business), but we were very pleasant surprised by the outcome. First is an architectural jewel. Is surround by flowers and bushes, a river flowing with a beautiful laziness. In the back a huge terrace with a magnificent view of Picos de Europa, you feel the magic of this place in your fingertips is like amble in a fantasy world. Inside decoration is rustic and local , like a medieval ages( was first came to my mind), smooth transition between modernism and old folklore. The Charm on this restaurant is the food, not precooked, neither refrigerated but fresh and very tasteful wich speaks itself about quality. A huge concept and presentation of traditional food (cantabria cuisine). Meat (we ordered two) is grilled using wood (chuleton a la brasa), We honored Cocido (typical dish), we were delighted to taste olive oil extravirgen, we asked and our suspicion were confirmed. Another plus is desserts, I recommend Canonigo (is out this world). Wine selection is exquisite!!!. Our Spanish is not really good, but language s not an issue , Mr Chuchi and Francisca (the owners), went overboard to make our experience flawless. Is not an expensive restaurant, we went to others in the vicinity and settle down for this one.

Great place to eat local food in a non-touristy place. We were recommended from a local in Potes. It can be a little difficult to find but take the road from Potes toward Fuente De. It is around 16 km from Potes, on the left side of the road. It is a small restaurant run by a couple for 30 years. The food is typical from the region, we had the cocido and steak (chuleton) and both were excellent. The meat is cooked over a wood grill. Service was good but expect a nice 2 hour meal, not the place to go if you are in a rush but you should not be in a rush if you are on vacation enjoying a nice meal. We speak Spanish so not sure if English is spoken but everyone is friendly so I am sure it will work out.
