Called into Paprika yesterday with my partner for a quick bite to eat.
We opted for the chicken skewers, chicken gyros wrap and chips - everything was fresh tasty & we even ordered some extra pittas because they were so nice!
The service was brilliant!...All of the staff were freindly and very attentive.
They also, offer a delivery service, which we will likely try during our stay 🙂More
Visited here on our first day, only a stones throw from the villa we're staying at.
Ordered 1 chicken gyros, 1 fries, 2 chicken skewers, 3 pitta bread and 1 tzatziki and it was all delicious and only came to €12.
The order of fries...is easily enough for 3 people and they're so tasty. Regular Gyros (around €2.50) is a good size but they do offer a "mega" option which i believe is double the size and still under €5!
Skewers were €1.50 per and comes with a small side of fries, so juicy and delectable, I was jealous that I didn't order one for myself. Tzatziki was around €2 and you get a big portion, which is perfect since I put it on everything.
Staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean, with a nice view, well worth a visit.More
Visited twice during our weeks stay, first time I had a burger my wife had pork gyros, both excellent huge portions and great quality. The second time we both had "meat variety " The waiter said are you hungry.? The size of the portion was...huge one plate at €8 would have been enough for two, it includes a greek sausage, pork sovlaki, burger and a pile of pork gyros, chips, tomato, onion and yoghurt plus a mound of homemade chips. All very good quality beautifully cooked. Needless to say we couldn't eat it all and a takeaway box was provided.
It's a great local,we were the only tourists in the place during the hour and a half we were there, semi fast food restaurant. Great food, great value for money and a busy fun place to go. We both throughly recommend.More
If burgers, grilled meats, gyros, chips are your thing - and they well might not be for most of the year, then this is the place to get your one and only fix. Modern roadside restaurant and delivery. Good selection of local beers and some...international beers too. Local wine and spirits too.
Burgers grilled to order and gyros too. Pitta breads superb - fluffy and warm. Chips (fries) always seem a little underdone on the whole of Crete but they are perfectly fine. Very quick service. It looks like a 'fast food' joint but with a Cretan twist. It should be savoured (yes I know it's only burgers and grilled meats) but you're on holiday so chill!
Also have chicken salads and greek salads which are excellent too. This was recommended by our hosts in the villa we rented and so much better than anything on the coast near Pigi. You have to go into Rethymnon or Pigi village itself (1 mile away) fo anything any good.
If I were you, drop the teenagers off there and let them order what you want whilst the grown-ups go a mile down the road to Pigi for a beer or two (glass of wine for the ladies) at the local tavernas in Pigi. Then comeback and join the teenagers.
Really enjoyed my time in this restaurant although it's not usually my type of cuisine (must be the atmosphere, the weather or the raki?)More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a long review on Paprika - The Grill Experience.
We are glad you liked our food and that you enjoyed your visit here. We hope to see you again soon!
My family of four includes an 11 and 13 year old, and it was a bit of a challenge finding something every night that everyone liked. We always went to Rethymnon for dinner, and from our villa would pass Paprika every evening on our way...into town. After the fifth night, I told myself "Im going to look this place up on TA and just see how it is. . ." All the reviews were good, and most were in Greek, so I had to translate them. But that's a good thing, because it means the locals eat there! On our last night in Crete we finally made it in, and everything we ordered was good. We had a delicious hamburger that was thick and juicy, a Mega Gyro (twice the size of the regular), and chicken souvlaki. And the fries!! SO GOOD! We even ordered more because we couldn't get enough. It turns out that they are hand cut, then fried in local olive oil that is only used for the fries. No mixing with meats or other items. I don't think I'll ever eat another McDonald's fry after that heavenly experience. They have an extremely busy delivery service. We counted five guys on scooters dashing in and out. Don't hesitate to eat here. The prices were really good too.More
I know, I know Crete is all about traditional food etc and I get it..
What you won't get is an out of the blue - and out of this world- burger heaven, if you don't visit Paprika.
Tried gyros club and the egg burger...and they were awesomely delicious. The famous greek salad in one of its finest forms, as well.
Once again, well done Crete, well done!!!More
When we first passed in front of this place it was almost full and there were even tractors and bikes parked. My first impression was if people come here with their tractors it must be REAL good.
When we arrived back in 3-4 hours there...were still a lot of people sitting since they constantly have circulation all day long due to locals choosing this spot.
We ordered all different types of food and it was delicious... It is nothing fancy but definitely way better than anything you can find anywhere in Rethymnon coast quality wise for half the price.More
