My 2nd review of this cafe. We decided to go again as it was so good last time. We went today for lunch and we weren't disappointed. Attentive staff & great food. Claudia & Esme looked after us & went through the menu with us with genuine enthusiasm. It's listed on 2 blackboards now, as they do a lighter lunch... More

It is with regret that I am adding a unhappy review of Cafe Felix, as I have enjoyed it several times in the past. I usually "vote" on unhappy experiences by not reviewing at all - much nicer to just laud and recommend the ones that get it right. But as I have positively recommended Cafe Felix in the past,... Cafe Felix was named after a (now departed) Black Cat. It also seems to be the name of a parrot that lives in a tree in the courtyard. We did not see or hear it, although the owner assured us we would. The night we arrived it was Curry Special, and always ready for a decent Ruby Murray (Cockney Rhyming... More

Cafe Felix has a lovely garden setting which makes for a perfect lazy lunch. The wine list was a bit limited (only a few affordable options) and the food is over-priced, but everything was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. I loved the black-board menu (we had the fillet and the chicken pie). I wasn't expecting to find such sophisticated food... More

Very small and select menu on blackboards. My husband had the fillet steak, I had the lamb shank - I was not too hungry, because it was the smallest shank I have ever seen. Very tasty although a little overdone. Nice ambience, good fireplace

After having had good experiences at Cafe Felix in the past, we decided to stop there for lunch. All the good tables were reserved for a function, but we decided to stay anyway. Big mistake. They had changed the menu some time ago and now makes no provision for lighter lunch meals. Only starters and dinner mains. Gone are the... More

The restaurant was warm and cosy but lacking in people - only 3 tables were occupied including ours! The specials were listed on giant blackboards which were far too big for a small restaurant and also difficult to read due to poor lighting. Having said that, the food we ordered was delicious and we all enjoyed what we had -... More

Cafe Felix is an interesting layout with 2 small dining areas plus outdoor options. It was quite cool so we sat inside. The service was excellent and our meals were nicely presented.and tasty.Definitely a good venue for an intimate meal or with a group of friends.

Popped in today for coffee. We had last visited Cafe Felix about 7 Years ago when we had a really great brunch as afamily group. This time i felt a little sad that the place seems to have lost a bit of its personality. A little bit of attention to detail required.
