The food was so bloody good. The place was busy, and has been around a long time, yet it was my first time there. Food was filling with large portions for the price. We had the tofu (originally calamari in sweet soy but they substituted...with tofu as they had run out of calamari - we think it was probably better with the tofu! So good!). The singaporean chilli prawns were also delicious. Enjoyable night.More
No nonsense, unpretentious, good solid Singaporean food. Quick service and not outrageously expensive. I'd give them 6 instead of 5 if they sold my favourite, Popiah, but that really is a tall order outside Singapore. I will definitely go there again next time I come...to Sydney.More
I’ve been going here for a long time and each time the food is fantastic, so fresh, tasty and generous servings. The roti bread is puffy and soft very delicious. Also had the beef rendang which was very tender and quite spicy. I now live...in QLD and miss this place terribly but it’s on my list every time I come home to visit family. 👍More
Very disappointing... reviews led me to believe we would have a lovely meal... entrees good.. main meals... Satay chicken and gado gado tasteless... even chili paste couldn’t redeem the dishes.... ambience lacking.. service ok.. but doesn’t make up for the lackluster food... won’t be back...and won’t recommend. A shame.More
Food: overall the food is good. We ordered beef Rendang, fried hainanese chicken, Sambal Kang Kung, Singapore-chilli prawn, roti canai, and desserts - these were all very appetising and delicious. The char kway teow and hokkien mee were not so good. I think they gave...us the wrong hokkien mee. The dish we received was a mixture of small amount hokkien noodle, large amount rice vermicelli and little bit of squid, all soaked in lots of sauce. Because it was quite unique in flavour, reactions to it was polarised. There was a fishy taste as well which some enjoyed but I did not. The char kway teow was not the greatest. It was a bit sweet and there was too much “lap cheong”
Hygiene: the same staff hand washed (presumably without gloves) the dishes then served food to customers. (they should have a strict cleaning process to ensure the safety of customers)More
A well known restaurant by many. Came here for lunch since we were in Parramatta. We didn't have a booking but they were kind enough to give us a 1 hour slot. The whole experience from the service, decor, food, other patrons will give you...a taste of being in Singapore. Lots of family groups catching up. Food tastes authentic and was served fast. 5% discount if you pay by cash.More
We have visited numerous times especially during Covid - more so takeaway these days.
Nothing has changed, but in a good way. Food is still amazing, customer service and value hasnt changed one bit!
We still love going here but prefer takeaway these days.
