My husband and I had dinner at Itihaas last night. It was our first time at the restaurant - we chose it because of 1000+ fantastic Google reviews. And my - did it live up to expectations ! The place is not large, however the...ambience is very nice. It was a weeknight and the restaurant was almost full. There were multiple take away orders throughout the evening - so it is very popular. And it is obvious why. We took the Veg banquet. They were accommodating of change request for entrees and mains (perhaps might not be able to when it is busier on the weekends) . The first round was papads with pickle, mint chutney and sweet chutney. This was followed by a surprise complimentary amuse bouche - served on a little "charpai". The Hare chane ki tikki was sumptuous and substantial. Tandoori Soya chunks were flavourful and paneer was soft and yummy. Mains of Bhindi, Kali mirch Paneer and Palak Chhena were flavourful and satisfying. Naans were fresh and soft. The dessert of Gulab Jamun and Jamun Kulfi is a must try. GJ were fresh, with the perfect amount of sweetness and bite. Jamun Kulfi was something we tried for the first time - it was a pleasant surprise. It was made with Jamun (fruit) and was not very sweet. Perfect cold accompaniment to the sweetness of the warm gulab jamun. One could tatse the freshness of Jamun fruit in it. All in all a very pleasant exprience, Very enjoyable food, stylish presentation. We were so impressed that we are taking our friends for dinner there tomorrow. A must try place!!More

We have tried many Indian restaurants in the Parramatta area. We've found them all to be good, but this was next level. The banquet consisted of 3 entrees, 3 mains (goan fish, lamb shank and butter chicken) and 2 desserts. All for 44 bucks. Kingfisher...beer on tap was a nice bonus. The service was professional and friendly. This is out new number one, and we cannot wait to come back!More

Had dinner here while staying briefly at a hotel nearby. Just wandered in, but was so glad I did. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The food was fantastic. Right from the moment I was given a complimentary entree I was hooked. The samosas...were superb. The Chicken Tikka Masala one of the best I have ever had. A fantastic meal.More

Based on the reviews, our family tried this place. We are vegeterians. Ordered Ananas Paneer Tikka as a starter. Very pricy. Although the flavour was good, it wasnt hot enough, it wasnt grilled well. Also only 3 pieces and it cost around $16. Not happy....Mains we ordered, Cheese nan, Olive Cheese Garlic naan, rotis and few butter naans. All pretty good. Curries, Paneer Tikka Masala, Bhindi Masala. Both were pretty good. However the Paneer curry quantity was relatively small. But Bhindi quantity was pretty good. As it was weekdays, they had only 1 person serving and he looked pretty grumpy and didnt enjoy what he was doing. Overall this is a once off visit for us as there are many other better Indian restaurants in Sydney for this price.More

We had dinner early as we were attending Elton John concert. The meal was great and servings just right. It was a hectic night and they were turning people away who did not have bookings. We booked online but they couldn't find it and we...had to show them the email. If you have show proof of a booking don't offer online booking.More

What a surprise our first visit to this delightful restaurant blew our socks off. Such a change from the run of the mill dishes served up on other Indian restaurants. This might have been our first visit but it certainly will not be the last,...take advantage of the set menu if dining straight from work absolutely delicious.More

Fabulous! Chose this restaurant for an early dinner while visiting Parramatta- wise move. All dishes had clearly distinct flavours and were very tasty. Early dinner 3 course menu for $30 was excellent value for money. Lovely service.

So much better than the Indian I have become familiar with on the Sunshine Coast; love Indian but rarely have quality these days and so this was very pleasing. Loved the dosa, best in years and the Kadai Murg was good for something different, generous...serving and excellent quality produce. Excellent value for the quality although said it was expensive by comparison to nearby restaurants - after north shore charges, thought it was a bargain. Only letdown was the service, waitress never topped up my water.More

We found a multi storey car park just 5 mins walk from Restaurant with plenty of spaces. And it’s great to walk past the other bustling restaurants to see what else is around.
