Always a pleasure to visit The Weighbridge Inn, only really one choice for me and that's the "2 in 1 pie" this time I had sweet potato chips and they were stunning, washed down with a pint of cider and great company. The staff were really nice and up for a laugh, which made the evening one to remember. Remember... More

We visited on a Saturday evening and the Inn was heaving with patrons enjoying food. We could only manage a drink, but were made welcome and a table found for us as soon as it was vacant. We obviously didn't taste the food but it looked fresh and good. The house Shiraz was very good.

Popped in and stayed a while.. Very informative and interesting locals to chat with and will definitely be back to see more of this lovely area. Only had a snack so can't really comment on the food - if you want fine dining, this probably isn't the place. If you want honest and wholesome, it is!

I visited in March with a friend who introduced me to the 2 in 1 pies. Loved it so much so brought a friend for lunch in April who was visiting from Bristol. She is still talking about it and telling everyone about the best pie she has ever had. I second that and hoping to return next week with... More

First time at this pub and stopped here for tea one evening. Heard about their speciality 2 in 1 pies so was looking forward to a nice meal. We were very disappointed as the pie that I had was half full of cauliflower cheese and the other with chicken ham and leak. The two didn't really go together and the... More

Thoroughly enjoyed Easter Sunday roast lunch with plentiful vegetables and cauliflower cheese side dish. Although the pub was extremely busy, the service was excellent. Our first visit - we'll be returning to try the famous pies.

Rich and plentiful Sunday roast with perfectly cooked tender beef and yorkshires like mum used to make or my choice was guillet head bream a first for me but definitely not a last. Followed by fruit crumble and black forest cheesecake. Definitely worth a visit any day of the week

It's such a long time since we have been here that we had forgotten about it. Currently on a diet and all going well however I had a proper pie fettish. Trying to think where we could have a pie when we remembered the famous 2 in 1 pie at the Weighbridge. Gave a call at 7.15 and asked if... More

Seems like ownership has changed but food remains to previous high standard. Having eaten here many times and kept coming back whilst the food is as good the normal landlord friendly reception and good service was sadly missing. A great shame sadly we will not be back

Dear Neil - I'm sorry you were disappointed with your recent visit. The Weighbridge hasn't recently changed hands recently. I was the landlady when you last reviewed us and gave us 5 stars. All of the team pride themselves in their customer service and we want to make every visit memorable for the right reasons. It would be really helpful... More
