We had been fasting for some time and it was quite hot, but we were kindly welcomed by a boy who explained the buffet formula (300 pesos excluding drinks). Certainly better than average in the area. Ate well and satedly, nothing exciting but typical local dishes, various possibilities of choice and also a fun cultural/local figurative entertainment even if a little arranged.. Without infamy and without praise

We went to Pueblo Maya for lunch after visiting Chichen Itza. Place evidently designed for groups of tourists returning from the archaeological site with large spaces, thatched roofs etc. However, it looks good. The food is buffet style with a wide choice of Mexican and international and the quality is acceptable. Sufficient to nourish oneself without demanding gastronomic excellence.

It seems there are not many options after 5 pm and they know it. The price it’s a bit high for the quantity and variety of food which is a buffet menu. The drinks are extra. There is music and some sort of ethnic dancers during dinner which is a nice touch. The ambiance was festive. I will try a different place next time.

I mis-stated the name of this restaurant in my review of Chichen Itza. My apologies - I will correct it if I can. This was recommended by our tour guide, who will never be forgiven for it. It caters to the big bus tours, but apparently gives coupons to the tour guides to get free meals if they bring tourist there. Can't believe we fell for that. There was one big bus when we got there, and it only got worse as they kept coming. It is a buffet, with mediocre and relatively expensive food. The Chaya drink they serve is instant and tastes like weak Kool-aid. They even had "natives" dressed up in costumes, singing and dancing around the room. I really can't think of a single good thing to say about this place.

As part of a deluxe chichen itza tour, we came here as part of the buffet. I really enjoyed the yukatan food, as it was slightly different to what was being served in our hotel at secrets maroma. The staff were nice and there were many options on offer including international cuisine. Some staff even put on a show at the end of the meal, so it was overall a great experience.

We just wanted to eat a small dish. In this restaurant you can only eat buffet for an enormous price! Even in switzerland the Restaurants are cheaper! The drinks are the double price from regular restaurants outside and smaller too. They never show a price until the end. We would never go there again.

Almost there! Great location. Well laid out. Concept is good with buffet for traditional and international. Price point is at 250 pesos plus drinks (this is where they get you. Know before you order). Place is huge. Nature driven outdoor seating. Clean restrooms. We asked for Papaya since they were not served that day. One person said no but one more was able to get them which was super nice. Traditional garb dancers was interesting and fun. Lost of positives. Couple of things got me. Our bill had lunch for 4 whereas it was just 3 of us. Honest mistake? In the gift store, which has amazing collection, we got something from 70% off section and she tried to charge full price. Honest mistake may be? Overall a very good experience.

we suggest to stop and have lunch here when you visit Chichen Itza. The buffet is huge and the food is good. It's quick, cheap, and in addition to mexican food, you find also continental menu ( just in case). Good!

We came to this restaurant on our tour to Chichen Itza. We didnt know what to expect. Everything we ate (and we wanted to try everything) was delicious! So much flavor! We especially loved the lime soup and could not find a lime soup that compared to it. I would love to know some of the secret ingredients.

Great place to eat after visiting Chichen Itza. With the amount of people visiting one can assume that everything is fresh. We managed to visit when there were no groups, but it was still busy. The choice is great and I like the fact that the food is served by staff, as otherwise it would be a mess.

This is a stop just for tourist buses and is not great. There is a big store for getting your souvenirs and then a very touristy dining area with sub par tacos and cheesy tourist dancing.

We stopped there for lunch after visiting the Chichén Itzá archeological zone. The place is an open patio set up, with lots of tables under palapas (a type of open building with a thatched roof, quite cool), and it seems to be a regular stop for tour buses. Food is very tasty, buffet style, with a section for regional dishes in which special mention should be made of the Cohinita Pibil (shredded pork served in a regional sauce, delicious!) and an international section for those looking for something familiar. Prices for the buffet were very reasonable. Note: the buffet does no include beverages, and some of them, especially alcohol, can get pricey. The staff was friendly and efficient.

We stopped at this restaurant as part of the guided tour for Chichen Itza and a cenote. The buffet was very typical of what you would find anywhere in Mexico so I guess the food was OK. I was a bit taken aback by the inflated drinks prices – we only had 2 bottles of water (500ml each) and were very surprised by the bill we received - $13.50. This after we were informed water is included in the price. Also, as with most tours, you continuously hear how much more affordable the prices were at this place compared to Chichen Itza – luckily we did not fall in the trap of buying anyting. At Chichen Itza we found similar items at better prices.
