Stopped here for a a pint and a sandwich but their 'light meals' looked better value. They really were good, in quality, quantity and value. Got a good pint too. service was typical of a good country pub, friendly and helpful. Will call again when...More

After a visit to 2 local wineries, we called in for lunch. We all had the steak pie. The beef was good quality and it was good quality wholesome food. Staff were friendly.

I can only reiterate the review by RBP 101 below. Spot on. We had the addition of Morris Dancers (I know!) however these were amusing, entertaining and enjoyed their beer. Would advise booking especially if with a dog as the bar has limited seating.

If you’re looking for a no-nonsense, ‘proper’ country pub, then visit the Crown at St. Ewe. This dog-friendly Inn, shared by locals and visitors alike, presents a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. The food menu offers all the main pub food favourites, not a huge range,...More

We all ordered a variety of mains, all thoroughly enjoyed. We did have to wait a bit longer than expected but it was explained,by the lovely waitresses, they was a chef down so it was understandable. Had the crumble for dessert which was ok so...More

We ate mid-day on a Thursday. We were the second food order placed and it took 40 minutes to get a meal of "brunch", jacket potato and fish & chips. I complained when the food arrived (in three separate deliveries, with brunch last to arrive)...More

Had a Sunday roast, the quantity was large but everything was old, overcooked and dried out. It was taken off the menu after us but should not have been served. If you like old fashioned cooking dating from the sixties then this is for you.

Can't believe that it is 3 years since I last visited this charming pub. but glad to say it's still great. Good car parking and a friendly welcome. There seems to be more copper and brass ornamentation than previously, but I like it - especially...More
