This bistrot is part of Chateau de Germigney situated in the same village. Words cannot fully describe how well we were looked after in this typical village restaurant with the added bonus of being able to buy some very fine local and not so local bottles. Service was personal and caring with the food being of a very superior quality.... More

Saturday night dinner, great food, not cheap and the wine list did seem a bit dear. Well worth it for a lovely meal, the restaurant is wonderfully decorated and set in a pretty village.

Surrounded by fishing rods, paraphernalia and pictures of smiling fishermen with their catches the menu choices are obvious. It is always a good idea to do a few things very well in any endeavor in life-including that of a bistro. Fresh white asparagus with a fine Hollandaise sauce, grilled trout and fried small fish with an impeccable green salad made... More

We had dinner at this restaurant - we shared a main couse dish of grenouille (with really good salad) as our appetizer which was quite boney and for our main we had a pork dish, which was very simply prepared and slightly overcooked. We thought the decor was not cozy and while staff were friendly they did not bring bread... More

Nice restaurant in a pretty typically French town. Nothing fancy about it just as you would expect a bistro to be. I thought the Food was average. Nothing special, but good choice. Serving staff very good.

Very nice restaurant, food was excellent, service was great. We might prefer returning there than eating at the chateau de Germigney (same owners). The value is much better and the atmosphere a bit less stuffy. We had pottiron soup and salmon mi-cuit both excellent. We also ate amazing desserts (baba au rhum, paris brest, poire belle helene): all very delicious.

This bistrot, which seems to go by either of two names, Pontarlier, or de Port Lesney, fits the image of the rural French restaurant, full of happy local diners, and plentiful servings of well-cooked food at very reasonable prices. The gazpacho starter (more like a layered caprese salad in a bowl of nicely seasoned cold soup) was a perfect cooler... More

Fresh food, fixed price menu and busy. They messed up and forgot our desert which after promoting, turned up and was excellent. Irritating they didn't own up to their mistake and instead just apologised for the delay. That said, if you are in the area, don't miss the chance to try their food.

It was a hot summer Saturday night and the nearby beach along the River Loue was busy with families with picnics and kids cooling in the water. At the Bistrot tables were set up outside to take advantage of the breezes. The evening's menu was 30E with a selection suitable to the summer heat (tomato gazpacho) and the local produce... More

Charming bistrot in the charming village of Port-Lesney, a few miles outside of Arbois. Call in advance to reserve a seat on the terrace, and order the friture, if they have it.
