Visited on the sunday of the whit weekend bank holiday. Beautiful day so surprised that the pub was empty. Seems quite run down. Supplies of drink running low and the beer garden was possibly the worst I've been in.

A great place to stay for the weekend. Beds very comfortable and clean. Plus staff that couldn't do enough to help. Food ok too.

This is the email we sent to the manager but with no reply so... More

We were booked in here by a family member who had looked at the old photos online and mistakenly assumed they were still accurate. On our arrival we were greeted with a run down, grubby bar with a sign claiming it was the Winner of Four in a Bed. I dread to think what the other 3 places were like... More

Called to see a relative opposite The New Inn and decided to go for a drink before heading back in to Talgarth. It has changed hands several times in the past few years and has changed hands again just recently. The New Inn featured on Ch 4 “Four in a Bed” and became the winner but unfortunately the landlord at... More

Food was fabulous and not too expensive. There was plenty of it and excellent quality. Will definitely return to try other things on the menu!

Met up here with family for lunch. Should've read more reviews as we were hoping for some Thai dishes but that's in the past it seems. Very friendly and welcoming staff looked after us well. A perfect steak and other usual pub offerings were enjoyed. A little disappointed in the "Celtic Pride" burger which said 6oz but when it came... More

Ok so the place may not look pre-possessing and the inside perhaps could do with a tidy up but the food was wonderfully cooked from fresh and the owner and his staff could not have been more pleasant or helpful. So from the chicken curry( delicious and so much chicken), to the poached salmon done to perfection, to the faggots... More

The first thing to take in is the setting. From the New Inn Pub the views are magnificent. I woke up to the most stunning views across the valley towards Crickhowell. The previous evening I settled in on a comfy chair by the fire, supping a very fine pint of Butty Bach ale before tucking into a Welsh black beef... More
