This place is a hidden gem, "worth a detour": down to earth food, reliable wines of the region, very friendly service - we shall return.

The food here was not the best. The staff were friendly and there was a small playground for the kids to play with. Everything tasted good, but there were problems too. The extremely gracious and welcoming owner, Alessandro, gives everyone who walks through the door exceptional treatment. We have a house in the area and have often eaten here with our children and enjoyed the outdoor garden where the children can play before and after dinner. In the winter a cozy wood stove warms the dining area which has a homey... More

This place is very nice, has a terrasse and it is easy to take your children in the evening. The owner is very friendly and the food good; he has a small slide and some children toys.

I have been there many times already. Owner is a nice guy. We can enjoy traditional local food with reasonable price.

We've been at the C'era una volta last saturday with my family during a one-day trip to the Langhe. We had picked-up the address using this very website. I should say that the main asset of this restaurant is the owner : super kind and available, always smiling, it is a true pleasure to be welcomed and served by him.... More

Two of us had a mid-week dinner at C'era Una Volta in April, 2012. We both chose an asparagus flan for aperitivo, a veal cutlet and a cheese ravioli for the main course. A bottle of Dolcetto D'Alba and a bottle of water made a total cost of 50 Euros. I would characterize the food as a very high level... More
