Lovely food & lovely service. A very cosy rustic pub with real coal fires on a cold night. The food is excellent.

We visited the Hillside last night as they have just launched a new menu (also with new vegetarian options). We had booked online and had a confirmation email but on arrival our booking wasn't on the book. Anyhow it was quiet with only 4 tables...More

The Hillside is a lovely Inn situated right in the centre of Hillsborough. The staff were very welcoming, especially on a cold January day. Service was a little slow but very good. The atmosphere in the place was very inviting, especially the glowing fire. Parking...More

The Hillston Inn, on the main street in the village, is packed with atmosphere. It is small and quaint and has a number of small rooms. The walls are lined with great images and the bookshelves sport some very old tomes. The food was terrific...More

Description
The Hillside is a charming, rustic pub situated in the historic Georgian village of Hillsborough, County Down, only 15 minutes drive from Belfast city centre. The Hillside first opened its doors to patrons in 1752 and has been enjoying a busy trade ever since thanks to our excellent food and drinks selection and our friendly, welcoming service. We are renowned for our roaring open fires in the winter and our pretty cobble stoned beer garden in the summer. Food served daily. Large parties catered for. Private room available.
