Enjoyed this restaurant and the good. Had the set meal which was delicious and plentiful. Website says open on Monday but we went and it was closed so had to go Tuesday.

On our recent visit the welcome was warm, the food was amazing as always with even more dishes to chose from, atmosphere was relaxed and it was like dining with your best friends (if only they could all cook like this!)

My wife and I found this restaurant on the Internet before travelling to Shrewsbury from Leeds. We had a lovely, freshly cooked meal and will visit again if we are ever in the area. The couple who run the restaurant and cook the food are very helpful and friendly.

We visited post storm Doris, the food was out of this world judging by my friends reaction. The flavours and tastes from each course were outstanding. We would have liked to have been offered the taster menu

Our third trip to Shrewsbury to visit friends could not have been complete without a trip to Dr Haider chef extraordinaire's awesome restaurant for the third time. It was made all the more special as we were the only customers and Dr Haider made us feel right at home, having remembered us from our previous visits. The mazzeh menu is... More

This is one of my favourite restaurants in the West Midlands. The quality of the food is of an unwaveringly high standard and the service is always impeccable. Lal Haider admits to being strongly influenced by his mother's Persian cooking, but he has introduced many other complementary dishes that expand the range to great advantage. The presentation of the many... More

Being from London, the last thing we expected to see was a Persian restaurant in Shropshire! We actually waited until the restaurant opened not for lack of choice of places to eat but decided on this place when we drove past earlier in the day. It was definitely worth the wait. The owner was lovely. We were cold from an... More

Tasty well-spiced food. Dessert was interesting. Buffet wasn't cheap but well worth it! Ample parking spaces behind too.

We went to this restaurant with friends for a pleasant evening out. We were not disappointed. We had the tasting menu, the obvious choice really and thoroughly enjoyed the range of food. The value was excellent and the staff were very friendly, though they could have been a little more attentive. I recommend it though it is not somewhere where... More

Description
Persian influenced fusion Cuisine - first for the county - at the elegant Black and White, timber framed, building that dates back to the 13th Century; contemporary atmosphere, with a present-day décor, pleasing to the eye. Cuisine renowned for its elaborate rice dishes, delicious kababs, nourishing soups and hearty stews. Persians delicately flavour their food with herbs, spices and dried fruits. A variety of nan-like breads supplement rice.
