You must stop at this bakery to try their orange cake. It is the best cake on Santorini, maybe in all of Greece. Buy at least two pieces. One to eat immediately, the other to take away as you will have a craving once you drive away. All kinds of cakes, pastries, pizza, candy, gelato, sandwiches, hot foods, all at a reasonable prices. Staff is very friendly and will happily answer all your questions and make recommendations for their offerings. Casual seating inside and on their patio. Walking distance to the town of Megalochori. I dream about their orange cake!

Visited daily for breakfast Bougatsa and latte. Very busy place, queues every day . Sampled sandwiches -pizza slice- chicken and rice beef and potatoes for a lunch .latte €2 bougatsa€2.50 everything very good value.

I visited after reading positive reviews and the cake was disgusting, I threw it in the bin. I'm a big cake fan, and this is my honest review. The staff were also abrupt and didn't smile, I felt uncomfortable here with my family especially with the men sat in the corner who stared as we entered.

We visited the bakery in Megalochori for breakfast, the food both savory and sweet was fantastic and great value. Easy to get to in a vehicle from Perissa it is well worth grabbing a bite to eat there.

The 'Family Bakery' is on a corner of the main road which bypasses Megalochori, the beautiful old village where we stayed. It seems to be open really long hours selling essentials such as milk and bottled water, and take away pastries, coffees etc. There is a sitting area at the front near the road. The bus stop is right outside and our caldera boat trip picked us up from here. There is parking at the junction which is a good place to leave a car and walk through Megalochori which is virtually traffic free (apart from the odd local on a moped),
We always bought our lunchtime sandwiches from here and they were huge, delicious and cheap. Never had an omelette and cheese sandwich before but can recommend. The coffee was good too.

Amazing choices of ice cream—many flavours I have never seen before, made on the premises. They are open late for a late night snack and hot drink. Very friendly, lovely staff

They have it all, bakery, pastries, hot food at decent price. Not the freshest in the afternoon but will fill your tummy. Tables outside to enjoy cars, scooters and atvs wizzing by.

Came on the way home from watching the sunset. Ordered what was presented as a strawberry and whites chocolate cake. Turned out to be a cardboard imitation. Looked good but couldn’t taste any worse.
The coffee was good tho.

We were staying very close to the bakery so it became our go-to place for water, soda, bakery, traditional hot meals-to-to or eat-in, sandwiches, etc. We were there at least once a day. Very clean, friendly, and conveniently located.

We found this place through our Airbnb hostess (thank you Kamila) and got dinners to go several nights, ice cream daily and baked goods daily! Bought 2 boxes of baklava to bring home! Everything was delicious and the locals were buying the same things we were. We were at the Megalochori shop and after a few visits felt like we were locals as well.
To the reviewers who commented on slow service - if you want fast, go to a McDonald’s in the states.

My sister loved their coffee but we were both extremely disappointed in their pastries. We ordered a spinach pie and a cheese pie. Both must have been left over from the day before and I noted the attendant giving me a piece from the back of the pike that looked different (not as flaky) as the pastries in the front of the display window. One bite confirmed that this had sat out overnight. Not worth the money.
