We have really enjoyed our meal at this traditional taverna. The owners were friendly and welcoming and the portions were extremely generous! The atmosphere was laid back and decorations inside very authentic, plenty to cast your eyes over, would definitely recommend!

We visited the tavern for two nights in a row and for Sunday lunch! The food was fresh and the chargrilled meats were unforgettable . The lamb and traditional goat with rice were our favourites. Yannis was amazing and gave us really good recommendations. We...particularly liked, the local cheese and fava . I would highly recommend a visitMore

The advices were so positive that we did try. But the service is poor, food below average and at the end of the experience we will not recommand this place for lunch but for the venue and view.

Really delicious and traditional Cretan foods! Although quiet the night we went the service was great! Highly recommend the lamb chops and the fried pumpkin balls. The meal was finished with a basket of lovely fresh fruit and preserves. Wish we could have eaten more!

We have generally very good experience with eating in Crete, but this one by far surpasses all the others. The location is amazing, the food absolutely fantastic, the owners so kind, and it is a unique and genuine experience of real autentique Crete. Don't miss...it if you are on the surroundings. We will defitely come back and will stay over night, as we learned you can also have a room here. Thank so much for your hospitality.More

We visited this taverna on a random week night in May. When we arrived there were no guests so at first we had our doubts. The owner speaks only a little English but just enough to understand each other. The menu was only in Greek,...so he translated it for us but since there was so much food available and it all sounded so delicious we made the deal that he would just select some starters and meat and that we would share with the 7 of us. It was all very delicious! We can especially recommend the fried aubergine and the lamb, but just let him select some foods and you'll be surprised. We only paid 12 euros per person including wine and water and fruit and raki dessert.More

Great taste, traditional well cooked. The taverns itself is full of photographs and items of the every day farmer. The fireplace and the owner made the place very friendly. A must, when you are in Heraklion. The home done was very good too. No headache...in the morning after several bottles. You need to check the prices first if you are on a budget, anyway you must taste them all...More

The restaurant is very big , new and set in the top of a hill...10 km to medallion : it seems like a castle . They have their own animal and indeed the quality of food is amazing .
