We stopped here after a 3 hour Lavada walk in the rain. The fire was just what we needed! We choose classic Madeiran dishes including the bola do caco, lapas, and espetadas All of which were fantastic. This place is the perfect mountain retreat and...the service was attentive. Highly recommendMore

Very delicious food! I ordered the Madeira bread, shrimps in a souse, risotto with mushrooms and chips with cheese. The best shrimps I have ever eaten! Very very nice!

Beware. - Check your change - The older lady ripped me off for €30 when paying for a meal. I know I should have checked but this should not have happened.

We went there for a quick lunch as We passed the place so many times and never tried before. Food was ok, nothing special. It looks very popular among tourists coming from Pico Areiro, but big enough for a lot of people.
