Restaurant Buta is a restaurant with a cozy home atmosphere and homemade cuisine. We strive to produce everything by ourselves, pasta, bread, cakes, meat, jams, etc. and the fish we prepare is caught by local fishermen in the Adriatic Sea. We use domestic products that are always fresh and natural. We want to enchant our guests with home-made food and products so they want to come back again .. We hope that we will succeed in that... :)

We came across this place on our walk. The location is second to none. Beautiful views, right by the sea. We had three pizzas which were made in an outside oven. The fish soup was a quite small portion, just a clear broth and barely any fish in it.but perhaps this is how it is served here.
Our dishes were bland and I only ate mine when the waiter added his story to it. I much appreciated that but when I am in Croatia once in 7 years I do want what I ordered.

If you like fish, if you want good and traditional fish dishes, and a very smooth menue, then go there. Price/ Quality equivalent is absolut OK and nothing can wage this up, having dinner, directly on a table at the sea and having the sundown with you, watching the boats come in. Cocktails are also quite nice and the service is very kind. Dont expect a party location, this is an exquisite fish dining restaurant with the little extra😉. Thanks for giving us such a great time and evening❤

Me and my wife started with Fisherman's soup and Creamy vegetable soup, but although traditional Croatian soup basically has a very simple taste profile, which is ok, these soups had absolutt no flavor. Then I had Black risotto with adriatic cuttlefish, sun-dried tomatoes, red wine and Dalmatian herbs, while my wife ordered Chef style chicken in gorgonzola sauce, completely without taste of gorgonzola. Maybe Gorgonzola is too expensive for the Chef? When it came to the service; the family who sat at the next table received excellent service, while we where treated like air. Empty glasses should be a signal for a waiter. However the bread from the the stone oven was very tasty and the location was perfekt.

The food when it eventually arrived was of an average quality. Order potatoes but French fried appeared. The waiter service was strange to be frank; 4 waiters and a half empty restaurant however they weren't attentive and it took an hour for our meal; burgers, pizza and spaghetti to arrive. It was a child's pizza which arrived 10 minutes late after everyone else food. No explanation, no apology, just no communication from the waiter.
Even paying for the bill was a struggle with waiting staff and eventually had to go to the bar to pay. There I had deal with three separate members of staff to finally just pay.
The restaurant is in a lovely setting by the sea and the food is good however the kitchen and waiting staff aren't organised and attentive.

A lovely place and location that would have been fully appreciated if it had been possible. So lucky to get a table on the outside of the fence at the restaurant where we could almost dip our toes in the water. With a beautiful sunset, this was bound to be an experience. Good service, got a drink quickly, took some time to decide on a Black risotto that the waiter recommended. Well, this was probably not a gourmet experience for us, I think the rice should be cooked so that you don't have to chew the rice. The black squid probably didn't have much taste, a bit strange, weak taste but very hot, something I've realized is important for a risotto. The surprise of the evening was the bill, it showed the prices but ordered two glasses of rosé wine, the waiter says they have 3 varieties, I didn't think there was such a big difference in price but it was 8 euros for a glass when he chose the best/most expensive something he cannot be blamed for.

Restaurant Buta in Seget Donji is a real gem on the Dalmatian coast and offers not only excellent views but also an unforgettable culinary experience. Located directly on the sea, the restaurant offers a breathtaking view that perfectly complements the culinary delights. Fabulous location and friendly and efficient staff. Pizza oven amazing producing the best pizzas all 3 of us have ever eaten - heaven. We also had tomato and burrata mozerella with tomatoes - best ever mozerella creamy soft and delicious

Good food, beautiful view and great location, unfortunately the price has drifted...
I can only agree with another reviewer who also noted this. The introduction of the Euro seems to have influenced the pricing expectations of local restaurants too much, the cuisine is good and the selection of dishes is good.

The location and view near the sea are unbeatable. The best garlic bread ever!
Nice pasta Nonna Maria, good fresh pizza.
The gnocchi was not ok. No taste/flavour at all, please put in garlic and parmesan cheese or a good salty croatian cheese.
Chicken gorgonzola missed the gorgonzola.
Cheese platter €18.50 overpriced
Nice hugo and aperol Spritz. But 15 icecubes per glass a bit too much.
Cheesecake recommendable
Ferrero heavy but great.
Service ok. (But we already had feeling 80% Croatians don t like tourists)

If you are in Seget Donji or around, I can only recommend to visit the restaurant Buta. We have beed there couple of times
As always an excellent experience. Great and delicious food, the stuff is so professional and friendly always providing good advice for the food. All sea food is highly recommended. Tasting a homemade pasta with truffels is experience for itself. Homemade bread is anothet great sddition to your food. Pizza is also great and it tastes wonderful.

We loved this place and came back a second time! Convenient 5-10 min walk from Marina along the beach. Gorgeous location and tasty food. Had the green tagliatelle with shellfish the first time and ravioli with truffle second time. The cheese cake is a great desert! Service is great and our friend who was celebrating his birthday was truly spoiled!

Our new favorite “sweet spot” for simple and delicious food, great company, and relaxed atmosphere. Buta is the perfect place for anyone looking to experience a true local gem. Kind and caring staff, easy-going surroundings, sensational view, and family friendly. Highly recommend the chef’s specialty dishes! But also, the handmade thin-crust pizza from the wood-fired oven is perfecto, plus they have one of the best veggie burgers around!

The fisherman’s soup was the blandest thing we’ve ever eaten. It was just water with some specs of oil at the top… HOWEVER the rest of the food was nice, AND service was great. We had a great time with Antonio; lovely guy!! Overall a great evening and the highlight of our holiday.. we forgive you for the soup 😂

I was here last year and fom their pizza Buta was the best in the world ever. This year, first couple hours of my vacation i sprint to the Buta, but…..ufff….pizza who has the best house pelatti was whithout pelatti, nothing bu cheese, instead of beef was something like salami, sausage, pizza Buta was catastrphe, nothing like previous year. Very sad, very very.
