Havercroft's is a cornerstone of Stanford and the perfect place for any special occasion or just a long, relaxing weekend lunch. The menu is mouth-watering and exquisitely well balanced. Brydon is an absolute whiz in the kitchen (the Chicken Ballotine is my all-time favourite, though...More

Sublime food with a world-class menu, quaint setting with idyllic mountain views, and a powerhouse husband and wife team, with Brydon at the helm in the kitchen and Innes ensuring her guests only get served the best of the best. This is no ordinary dining...More

Should have guessed when I was asked for a deposit when making the booking that I would be told we don't take credit cards, so bring cash. The whole booking arrangement is a complete nonsense, with multiple Whatsapps, and transferring cash by eft. Considering that...More

It is perfectly normal at this time of year to request deposits for bookings, and it is a simple process. The only time we have to send whats app messages or call guests after the initial request is to chase up the payment of the...More

After many repeat visits I have run out of superlatives. Havercrofts really is a proper restaurant,a very friendly welcome with the chatter and banter of the diners who are mostly local in the background. No scrutiny from a lady at a computer to see if...More

Good food - slightly limited menu options. Service good. Innes is a bit overwhelming so don't expect a quiet lunch! Also - restaurant kitchen needs more extractor fans.More

Oh how very disappointing! My wife was a 'bit overwhelming'. She is normally totally 'overwhelming' with an incredible sense of humour and intelligence - you missed out, shame on her. I will address this on her next evaluation - must try harder being the note!...More

So don't go if you don't have a sense of humour or are expecting silver service! We were given the naughty table... But I think it's more a description of our mischievous host! It's all about the banter and some of the most delicious cooking...More

Havercrofts is a real treat. A delightful couple and a lovely little restaurant (yes, that means you must book!). No frills, no fuss, but damned fine food. The setting is lovely, it's laidback, relaxed and offers wonderful views over the valley. There's only one problem,...More

As often happens when you are lucky enough to live in the Western Cape, people visit then return home. Sad though this can be, it means we get that last lunch with them. And it has to be Havercrofts. As usual the menu made life...More

We always visit Havercroft when we are staying in Hermanus. Innes is wonderfully entertaining and her wit and quirky charm make her the perfect hostess. Yesterday's menu did not disappoint,in fact the dishes we chose were all delicious . Gruyere soufflé is a particular favourite...More
