Been there a few years ago (prepandemic), and was glad to see that things have only changed for the better!
People are friendly and always eager to help (even going out of their way to do so).
The food is consistendly very good and reasonably priced (ask for the day's
suggestions especially for fish).
The location is beautiful, cliff overlooking a really nice bay where you can swim most times of the year.
Accomodation is also available if you want to stay overnight, highly recommended as the night sky by the sea is a real wonder to behold!

I went to that restaurant with my wife and two daughters, we took a seafood meze for 2 persons, an extra salad and a plate of fried cod.
The salad was perfect, very clean, fresh, all ingredients were tasty (tomatoes, paprika, feta in particular) and simple but excellent olive oil dressing.
The owner is an adorable grandfather who never misses an occasion to make funny jokes and cheer up everybody. He advised us to take the fish meze for 3, saying it would be largely enough for us 4, but as the little one is afraid of eating fish, we chose that seafood meze for 2 which was slightly cheaper than the fish one (22€/pers. vs 26€/pers) and we were a bit afraid that fish meze would be really too much for us.
Well, what a nice experience that seafood meze ! Everything was delicious. Octopus was tender, prawns, little anchovies and calamars were crusty… we were offered a crazy variety of fried fishes, including red mullet and other nice fishes I had seen when scuba diving. On top of that we had a bottle of dry Cyprus white wine in its bucket of ice for a very honest 18€.
I have eaten some seafood plates before, in France and in Portugal, but the quality of the food was exceptional. You can go there with closed eyes, just listen to the advices of the owners.

1: they only offer fish meze. All fishes in the platter are FROZEN with not a good taste.
2: we asked if they can make a change in the platter and place bass fish instead of bream. They refused. We asked if they can remove bream and place anything other, they refused.
3: we asked for 2-3 cucumbers because one of us has health problems and she is not allowed to eat any salad, they refused.
4: they asked us if we are eat well. When we said we are not pleased the owner said we are bad!!!!!
We forced to eat because we were hungry. This is the rest food, and this because we couldn't eat it because of the taste..
There are many fish tavern in Cyprus. We are from Cyprus. I will never pass from there again. This is not a quality food and it doesn't deserve the bill.

It was awful. My pasta bake was frozen in the middle and when I said, they offered to microwave it. They acted like we were being pains and we were very polite about it. We also paid €20 for a sea bass that wasn’t sea bass and was clearly frozen. Staff were rude (except a new lady that was spoken to awfully the whole time by the owner. At the end, the owner asked if we were happy and I said yes. It was obviously not convincing as he asked what was wrong and got defensive. When I explained what the problems were he shouted after me as I left and blew kisses. The views are amazing and the menu is good but the execution and staff made it an awful experience. Never go!

Probably one of the worst places we've visited. Food was served cold or undercooked. They overcharged for almost everything (portion of french fries 4€). The place looked abandoned. There was dust everywhere even on the tables and chairs which noone bothered to clean while we were there. They were understaffed-we had to queue at the bar to get our drinks as there was only 1 person serving.

Most likely to win the prize of the worst food on the planet. I've never left over fish at any restaurant before today, the entire table went to our neighborhood cats. All the seafood served in the mezzeh was old, frozen, or cooked many times. Fish was black inside and smelled awful. Shrimps were mushy and blackned.
Waitress was very kind though, wish her well in her career, she should move out. We gave our feedback to the owner but he insisted with full denial that everything was fresh, got a 8 percent discount on the bill, not enough to prevent me from posting this!

First of all, we payed almost 50 Euros (!!) for 4 sandwiches… We ordered food for 4 people, and none of us could eat it. The potato wedges were clearly very old, drenched in oil and gone bad. The sandwiches had no taste and the ingredients used were not fresh. Would never eat there again.

The restaurant forgot to mention that they did not serve meat that day. Sone of us could not eat meat. Additionally, starters were poor. The worst thing was that the food took more than one and a half hour to come. As a result, we our plans fell back. Lovely beach, worst restaurant in the area, maybe Cyprus.

Frozen foods that serve them fresh at very low prices. Gross shrimps disgust, when the restaurant manager was asked about the shrimps he said that he also eats them gross. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Had an amazing time at Panagiotis Governor’s Beach Restaurant! The beachside setting is stunning, the food was delicious (especially the seafood), and the service was impeccable. A must-visit if you're looking for a memorable dining experience by the sea.

This spot is a gem in Cyprus, I am a local and every time I go I am met with the best service you can imagine, the servers and the owners are very attentive. The food is immaculate and the mezze platters are some of the best on the island, this is a must eat on the way to the beach, they are open from 9.30am-9pm so you can enjoy breakfast for a halloumi sandwich and also coffee or lunch and dinner. Thankyou!

We stayed in the rooms and ate several meals here. Maria, who both cooks and cares for the rooms, was such a kind and generous hostess. She took great care of us, and dealt with my dietary needs with keen attention. She is a treasure. I loved the bream and breakfast was consistently good. I'm sorry I don't remember our servers name. He was also great.
The little beach below the restaurant is very nice, with a small chair fee.
It would be nice if the kitchen in the spacious apartments had items for someone wanting to cook a little. Currently there is a microwave, fridge, and some dishes/silverware.

This little restaurant is nestled at the top of Governors Beach. The menu is limited but still found food to eat, the owner was a lovely gentleman wham came and spoke to us. the price was good also

We have been away fromCyprus for too long but the Moussaka and the View and the lovely Crystal clear water here is definitely worth the 20 min trip from Limassol. Service classic Cyprus food fresh.
The Moussaka was the best I have had anywhere but a bit of caution is it came VERY VERY hot, don’t touch it till it cools down a lot. The Large bottle of Keo helped to cool it down.
It was fantastic flavour of Cyprus.
Don’t let the frontage put you off as there are also some pristine Apartments above the restaurant.
