This is the same restauranr as is listed under its true name which is Restauranr Pecherie Manicougan Les Escoumins. I reviewed this under that tittle and it is well worth the stop.

The only reason why I'm giving this restaurant a 3/5 rating is because I know the people I was with liked their meal, because I really didn't like mine. My pasta was overcooked, mushy and bland. The dessert probably came out of a box.

This is a great spot for local seafood. Service is impeccable. There is also a wonderful takeout counter where you can buy fresh seafood sandwiches and salads and box lunches and whale watching.

The host of a B&B where we were staying recommended the fish market attached to restaurant as a great place to order a picnic lunch to take whale watching with you. Although mentioned by one of the other reviewers it was a bit pricey but the shrimp sandwiched we had were yummy and well worth the price.

We purchased halibut and shrimp here, cooked it at the campsite and our kids asked for the same dinner again the following night! Definitely worth the trip. A nice walk along the river leads you to a pretty beach/cove and there is an ice cream shop beside the fish shop as well.

It is rare that we would do a repeat dinner at a restaurant, but we did here. It is among the freshest seafood we have ever eaten. The price, presentation and service were all very much to our liking. The lobster tank in the entrance was immense. They also have a shop for selling seafood that is open during the... More

There's not much to do or see in Escoumins once you've been on a whale watching tour (or while you're waiting to go...) And this restaurant looked like the only one worth visiting. It looks like a diner, just off the main road. Plenty of fish and lobster to choose from, generous portions. Good quality and value for money.

We wanted fresh local seafood and so we tried this place. We had a wonderful lobster dinner here, complete with steamed lobster, corn on the cob, wonderful crab mashed potatoes and vegetables. Even though we were stuffed we managed room for some chocolate cake. Great meal.

Not sure what people see in this place. My langoustine with lobster spaghetti was not fresh and quite bland. My wife's halibut was overlooked also very bland.

I order fresh seafood from the poissonerie that they put on a bus in the morning that arrives at the Berri Bus Terminal at 5:45pm that day. You can't find better fresher tasting snow crab anywhere. They are very reliable (which they have to be as a table of snow crab fans wait for its arrival). they can do this... More

Operating in the region for over 15 years, the Escoumins fish market will be of great interest to anyone who loves fish and seafood. It is open all season long, selling a wide variety of marine products straight off the boats of local fishermen. Taste our delicious fresh fish, including salmon, turbot, halibut and sole. Prepare your favourite seafood dishes from our daily arrivals of shrimp, scallops, crab, lobster, quahogs and whelks. And why not take advantage of your stay to discover the Stimpson's surf clam, a mollusk from the clam family? The Escoumins fish market also serves generous meals on its private terrace looking over the St. Lawrence River. Sushi and prepared dishes are available for take-out, to eat wherever you please. The catering service will be appreciated by larger groups and families at special events.
