Another visit for Sunday lunch to this beautiful traditional English pub. Didn't think it could be better than our last visit but I was wrong. As before there was a good welcome and yet again it was very busy - best to book in advance...More

Our first visit to Hawkedon was fun. Lovely spot, pub and area. but the food i was given was dreadful and over priced. we had ploughmans which frankly looked like it had been made by my granny. Not good value. Beer was good though. um.

As other reviews have stated, thsi is a good, English pub with lots of atmosphere. But the quality of the food was the most impressive bit - - well cooked and very tasty. Well above the typical pub grub fare but definitely not a sterile...More

Sunday lunch is awesome. Beef is red poll, and melts in the mouth. The atmosphere is welcoming, with excellent staff. On a miserable day in the height of summer the wood burner was lit. Everyone smiles here. Slightly above average prices for meals but worth every...More
