We were surprised that the TripAdvisor's rating was so low. We've got recommendations from the locals, tried it once and came back again and again. The Mostello lamb was fantastic (the rest of the meat is medium). The Greek food is just excellent and cheap. Go for the Greek salad with the Sifnos cream cheese, the spinach pie, the moussaka,... We sat there after a long, tiring first day on the island and did not regret it! Service was quick and efficient and the food was great! Fresh salads, tasty homemade french fries and mousaka, plus the beautiful view, set up the perfect dinner!

Though the moussaka was very tasty it couldn't make up for the poor taste of the lambchops, The bad french fries and the ("expensive") sea bass that tasted as if it had been cooked 3 times. When i mentioned this to the waiter after having payed the bill he reacted like he couldn't care less. A place to avoid.

Setteld on the small mainroad you sit directly beside the sea. Friendly people serving traditional food. They also have some rooms for travelers

Even if it is difficult to find bad food in Greece, most of our choices in Simos tavern were pretty mediocre (capary salad, zuchini balls, greek salad...) Maybe we weren't lucky but don't risk it and waste one of your holiday dinners here, there are many better options! Service is ok, nothing special.

We visited this island in October and many many of the places were closed except for Kamares port where there were a few restaurants, and we stopped off here. Their food is of good quality, typical greek home cooking which we like, the service was good, but should get better, and the rates are really really reasonable.

This was one of the best meals we have had over 5 years travelling round the Cyclades. The mizithra (local cheese) on a Greek salad was enormous, and the oven cooked lemon veal was delicious. My partner had the mastela (goat) and rabbit on another night - the meat simply fell off the bones. None of the mains were overburdened... More
