Enjoyed the Katla kalia (curry) a lot here. The other food items were also well prepared. We had a typical Bengali lunch here.

It a very good place to have authentic Bengali food. The food was very tasty here and we enjoyed our lunch very much specially the preparation of different fishes. Prices are also reasonable. The ambience of the hotel is also good.

Well what more can one ask in a place like Digha ? This is a nice, clean restaurant, with very well mannered staff. The food is mostly Bengali style -- pocket friendly and definitely tasty and well cooked. The serving portions are decent as well....The restaurant is located right on the main road in New Digha -- pretty close to the Railway Station -- however, it is pretty small with 9 or 10 tables -- and hence can accommodate 36-40 pax at a time. Therefore please try to be there before the peak hours ( latest by 1pm for lunch and by 8.30pm for dinner ) -- else you need to wait outside ( even on weekdays). Do remember that Digha does not have too many so called "walk in" restaurants -- most of them are either street side food joints, which according to me , are pretty cheap but lack hygiene and compromise on taste -- or dedicated restaurants attached with the hotels, which are located deep inside the hotel premises, and pretty claustrophobic. Considering this scenario, I found this restaurant to be a welcome change for the better.More

Though it is a multi cuisine restaurant, but is majorly a bengali restaurant... Amazing variety of fishes they have... We asked for Pabda, Pomfret and Prawn, and we were shown fresh pcs for size selection.. We reached there around 1.30pm and it was already a...waiting and by the time we left, it had a long queue, that too on a Friday... Well cooked food with authentic taste, and nice presentation at pocket friendly prices...More

Restaurant Bhorpet Is situated in New Digha, probably one of the best and popular restaurant of the Town. When we visited for a lunch on a working day, the restaurant was full and we had to wait for around 10-15 minutes for a table. However,...once in, the subsequent services like ordering, serving of food etc. were quick. The restaurant is not very big and had a cool ambience. We ordered veg items like rice (Rs. 40), dal (Rs. 40), aloo bhaja (Rs. 40), aloo posto (Rs. 80) and non-veg items like chicken fried rice (Rs. 150), chicken do-piaza (Rs. 150), chicken korma (Rs. 180) and illish (Rs. 350). The serving portions were reasonable and all the items were really very tasty. Price of the dishes were moderate and comparable with other decent options in the town. They also accept cards for payment. Overall it is one of the best option of dining especially for Bengali cuisine.More

If you have the money they will be able to present the biggest crab or prawn you have ever seen. Other fishes also available. Prices are not cheap but not too expensive. Ok for a meal. Food is tasty and good. The place is packed...during meal times and you might have to wait in line.More
