We tried Kumaoni Thali. It wasn't that great. But the Khamir roti and Kumaoni Chicken was very tasty. They had limited manpower so the service was slow.

Cafe Chandi mati is perfect for tasting local Kumaoni food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. It gives a very raw feel by having a unique seating style and it also has outdoor seating which is very calming and beautiful. Food quality and taste was amazing. Service...was good although could be much better in terms of promptness. The service felt little slow and not up to the mark because of lack of number of staff. But the hospitality part was always there. Pricing was very decent and good value for money.More
Very poor service. Least bothered staff. In spite of pre reservation , we had to wait for almost an hour to be served. Would not recommend at all
Inner appearance of the cafe may not be great but it's different. We tried Kumaon vegetarian thali, grilled trout with broccoli and Kumaon chicken curry. Trout was fresh unlike in other nearby restaurants. Food had good taste. It was absolute value for money. Choices in...the menu were limited, but in Kumaon area why should one look for dishes which are available all over.More
Dirty and unhygienic place. We entered it and quickly walked out. Glanced through the dog-eared menu And found the prices far too high and unreasonable. Veg sandwich for Rs 175/- + tax ? Incidentally, we were there at lunch time but there was not a...single customer.More
Hopeless place… hyped up.. incompetent staff… we were made to wait for an hr but others were made to sit before us… waste of time Nd food is not worth its price
Food here is super delicious, especially some mutton dishes and the Khameeri roti. Please is very quaint and has a very different feel. Its better to check the reservation as big travel groups also book this place for lunch or dinner.
We visited this place based on the reviews it has received but our experience was bad. The place was full but followed no Covid norms. We ordered a banana pie which after consuming half the quantity we saw an hard foreign material in it. On...enquiry were told that it was a piece of Garlic skin. It definitely did not look like it so we left it as it is, paid for it and left the place. The beat root kabab were good and so was the coffee.More
Excellent food!! Loved the local flavours & the North Indian cuisine. We enjoyed two lunches here during our 4-day trip to Mukteshwar. Must visit!
Very nice place with a vide range of menu. Nice decor and very clean place. Also has outside sitting mountain view.
