We had cream bun, chocolate doughnuts and cinnamon roll here. Everything was amazing and the total of these 4 items costed us Rs100. Buttery, delicious and economic. We couldn't find similar taste in Gangtok and Pakyong in spite of trying various bakeries. Loved the experience...hereMore
Found this quaint bakery in the middle of woods run by super creative locals, making delectable items. The place wasn't commercial at all. Beautiful coffee, muffins, bread jam roll, donuts and lovely staff. Got to know that the proceeds from their sales go to a...tribal school. It is a must visit if you are in Pelling❤️More
Just before Telling is this small bakery with fresh breads and pastries. Perfect for catching a bite at tea time or dessert. The Danish and rolls were not toooooo sweet, which is a big plus! Loved their chai. We also bought Sikkimese tea from here,...which is grown and packaged locally.More
This is the only bakery you find it in Pelling.. definitely it's old by it's looks but quality of food is fresh and clean..
Tea is good. Coffee is average, baked goods are useless. It's just downhill from the monastery right before you get in to pelling.
Food is good and fresh. A nice getaway to have bakery food if you are fed up of local food like noodles and momos
Not very good. Old shabby place. Just okay quality very basic confectionery you can get here. Some items we had were not fresh.
Try the butter bun - yummy! Soft, sweet and buttery - melt in your mouth consistency. All the bread is lovely. It has a few tables and serves tea and coffee and some other food but the bread is excellent. Don't get put off by...the dark interior.More
A small bakery in Pelling near the Pemayangtse Monastery run by a self help group. Breads are fresh and coffee is okay. Nothing great.
This place is located almost 2KM away from Lower Pelling. We were total of 9 people and had few goods, which are: 1. Coconut Muffin (Rs 10 per piece) It's was hard from the outside and had coconut filling in it. Tasted great!! 2. Chocolate...Croissant After you order, the server will ask you whether you want to eat it hot. Prefer "Hot", it will taste real good! 3. Bread with Jam As usual, nothing much to say. 4. Apple Pie It tasted good, with cinnamon on top of it. 5. Black Tea (with Sugar) Server will ask you, whether you want to add sugar, kindly say no to that, as it would be too sweet. Overall the black tea was great, adding sugar to it made it average. Please don't repeat the same mistake we did. 6. Muffin It was Good. You can even order coffee but they will make using a coffee machine, which is not worth, instead you can try their own tea variant, which they grow.More
This is a great place to eat. The coffee is very nice. Been there 3 time in the place. Go and visit the place.
Its a small family run bakery at a very remote place. Good products.I was served by the small daughter of the family she had to get a ladder to climbup to get the buns very sweet.
When visiting the Pemayangtse Monastery we had a short stay at the Lotus Bakery. The staff was very friendly offering milk tea and sweet pastry.
Quaint bakery on the way to Pemayangtse Monastery. The proceeds go to an orphanage. Sitting there with a cup of tea, and croissant is just lovely! November 2015
