Dining at this place made our trip to the heavenly Spiti valley even more enjoyable and memorable. Their higher rooms were all sold out, and we missed a chance to stay at Deyzor, and our hotel was about a km off from there. Also, food...and hospitality in our hotel (read in a different review about Hotel Spiti -Himalayan Borthers) was horrible, to say the least. But after having one meal here at Deyzor, we visited them for all three meals a day, during our two-day stay at Kaza. Excellent decor, wonderful and delectable food, good hosts and a warm ambiance makes it the perfect stop during a visit to the otherwise crazy town of Kaza. Though the price was a bit on the higher side, but you are more than 200 kms far from any market, and that does count!More

I instantly liked the place as soon as i entered the lobby, The warm lighting, tasteful color schemes , stone floors all adds up to the amazing ambiance at Deyzor. Karan is a great host, very easy to talk to and always ready to answer...questions. I loved the decor in the cozy rooms and the whole vibe was very urban chic. The bed was equally comfortable. The food was very good especially the days dessert which was the pumpkin pie. We could not get a room on our return from the trek and that was almost heartbreaking,More

Staying at Hotel Deyzor is always nice due to Karanbir's personalised attention that goes into most facets here. The food is undoubtedly the best that all of Kaza has to offer. I was a fan of their thukpa and banana date and coconut smoothie. The...waiters were very pleasant as well and one must stay wary of the St. Bernard, Simba, who is not very comfortable with visitors. Another plus point is Deyzor's location, which is easily accessible for cars and motorbikes alike. I personally loved all the quotes that Karanbir had etched onto his walls. They really add to the place's vibe, and his music collection is superb too. Now, coming to the downsides, the rooms located right above the entrance get too much noise and that affected our sleep quality quite a bit. The bathrooms are basically clean (the common washroom downstairs, not so much), but the buckets needed cleaning from underneath, as the previous guests' hair remains weren't a pleasant sight after a long drive. The hot water supplies were just right for a summer in Spiti, however, the water flow was far too slow. The room also needs more plug points/ extensions. The linen needed better cleaning as well. These are very small adjustments that would, in my opinion, take Deyzor up several notches, especially for hoteliers like me who have an eye for the minutest details that go a long way. Cheers to Karanbir and his Team :)More

That is the most wonderful and charming little restaurant (and hotel) in Kaza. The dishes are amazing, the food is clean, the serving standards are western and the staff is friendly, polite and professional. The decor is warm, colourful and cosy. Above all that -...the manager, Karanbir, is an inspiring man with a social justice, environmental agenda which he implements in the hotel and restaurant both in how he runs it and in other ways. One example is his attempts to rescue stray dogs (very uncommon in India unfortunately). I recommend eating there any chance you have (and if you planned your trip enough time in advance - then sleeping there as well).More

A very charming restaurant with interesting, quirky and inspiring quotes, facts and trivia put up all over the restaurant. This is the kind of restaurant where you should not expect speedy "in and out" service. The trout is very fresh as expected and well cooked...whether in Indian or Continental preparation. The desserts are really really good, especially the applie pie which I beleive the owner makes it himself. Also a great restaurants if you like dogs as they usually have their pet St. Bernard along with a few other guys.More

Karen and Kim and their friendly staff run a wonderful hotel in Kaza - rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The food served in the restaurant is amazing - we ate mostly international dishes in the two days we stayed as we wanted a variation...to the local dishes we’d been having for the rest of our trip and every dish was tasty. We enjoyed the decor and quotes/letters/art on the walls. They’re very environmentally aware and provide filtered water and do not use ‘single use’ plastics in the hotel. We also met Skalzang who owns the hotel and chatted to him about his archery achievements which was really interesting. Simba the St. Bernard won us over too!! All in all a great place to stay in Kaza and we didn’t want to leave. Keep up the great work guys.More

We wanted to stay in Hotel Deyzor but we didn't get a room as all the rooms were occupied. So we decided we should have food in Hotel Deyzor. We loved the food and it is not so much expensive.
