Stopped for some local produce. We bought some smoked and dried raindeer meat. Really rustic setting right next to a lake, they have a small restaurant, sell local produce, have their own smokery, and are winners in some categories of a contest in craftmanship called...Eldrimner #eldrimnerMore

At this restaurant you can eat fresh local catched laponian fish. There is a nice diversity of dishes and it is possible to buy some fresh frozen (local) products yourselves.

Stopped here on the Inlandsbanan and glad I chose to order a meal. The food was lovely and with the outdoor seating area was a very relaxing spot.

When aboard the Inlandsbanan, you have to pre-order your lunch as there is only a 50M stop at Vilhelmina Norra. The total number of passengers were readily dealt with. Tried the Bergman's Fish Platter. I really liked the pepper salmon though the marinated whitefish and...dill-cured salmon were are very good. Had a Key Export beer which was fine in the crisp afternoon air. While one might suggest 210 kronas is expensive, the site is atmospheric and this place is in the proverbial middle of nowhere. A lunch to remember.More

The mixed fish dish was great. The rain deer meet was not so good. The service was Good and the personnel friendly. Price was on the high side!

We went to Bergmann for the second time, since the first time we really enjoyed the food and the location. Unfortunately, we arrived there when the kitchen was already closed (it closes one hour before) but the owner invited us for some sushi that was...left in the fridge. We just paid the drinks. It was very nice, thanks!More

We were at the restaurant during the day, when it wasn't too busy. Given that, the service was extremely slow. The chef visible through the serving hatch seemed to be moving in slow motion. If he had any help he needed more of it. Eventually...our order was completed, but no-one was around to pass it through to where we could pick it up. So, it was barely warm when we finally sat down to eat. We were hungry, but both meals were disappointing. The salmon kebab was OK, but unremarkable and mostly not very fresh lettuce. The kebab breads looked bought-in. The Västerbotten cheese pie with rom (roe) sauce was even worse - little cheese and not a single fish egg in the sauce (which was actually just creme fraiche - probably from a tub). The pie also looked and tasted as if it had been bought in, probably frozen. These mediocre meals were not cheap. Like the shop items, the markup must be enormous. Basically, it's tourist trap for wealthy Norwegians driving over the border. Save your time and money and go into the town of Vilhelmina. There are much better, more authentic, eating places for a MUCH more reasonable price.More

If you're a connoisseur of fish then you might well find this restaurant pretty amazing. If, however, like me, you can either take fish or leave them alone, you might conclude that it is overpriced, serves too small portions, and is unable to cope with...special dietary requirements.More

On our way south we stayed at Kolgårdens Camping which is just a couple of minutes drive from Bergmans. Picked up smoked reindeer , moose and two different kinds of smoked salmon. Everything was delicious and the very friendly staff was lovely to deal with....Didn't try out the restaurant this time but it looked very inviting and they have some real Swedish classics on the menu. Don't miss this one when in the area.More

We did not dine there but stopped there on our way to the camping in Vilhelmina and we bought some of their famous smoked salmon. I must say that hot-smoked salmon in pepper is a true delight. I've never eaten a better smoked fish. The...sauce recommended by the guy from the shop staff was a perfect complement. We came back next day to buy some more salmon...More
