20 members from Liphook U3A strollers took their repast at the Ship Inn after a pleasant 2 mile stroll around Ichenor. We were attended to efficiently and courteously after we had booked our meals in advance online and our meals arrived swiftly. My Beef stew and dumplings was superb and the size of the Fish and Chips served to other... More

There are not many places to eat at Chichester harbour (West Itchenor) and the Ship Inn is the closest to the harbour itself. A nice country pub with a restaurant with plenty of tables inside and outside. I had lunch there with my parents. My mum had a light lunch (smoked salmon, crayfish and salad) and my dad and I... We were recommended The Ship by a lady in a shop in East Wittering. The pub is in a pretty little village called Itchenor. The food was lovely and the Staff although the pub was really busy were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Both our meals were delicious. We would definitely return.

Wifey and I had lunch here during a '3 Quay' trip round Chichester Harbour (first stops were Emsworth and Bosham). Scrummy baguette with friendly service at reasonable prices. Had a stroll around the quay afterwards. Nearby P&D car park available if pub car park full up.

A really good Sunday lunch - they managed to fit 6 of us in with only an hour's warning. My special of hake with chorizo and chick peas was lovely, the fish especially was perfect. My wife's cod and chips was an enormous piece perfectly cooked with a lovely crispy batter. The local bitter from Arundel was also good. Lovely... More

Very cute pub, decent food has certainly gotten better since my previous visit. A very local pub with great characters. It's warm, friendly and superb for getting cosy by the fire on a cold night. Top marks!

Recommended by a local we met whilst out walking. Doesn't look too promising from outside but inside things are very different. Lovely place for either a lunchtime snack or something more substantial. Very welcoming with good range of beers and food available. Recommended. Dogs welcome.

I had lunch at this pub on Saturday 18 Feb. None of us had eaten here before. It was excellent. The food was superb - home baked ham really was. All 6 of us had very good food. The staff were friendly, polite and efficient despite the fact that they were very busy indeed, being a lovely sunny warm Saturday.... More

We called in here for a pint at the end of a long walk along the coastal path. We sat at the outside tables with our dogs as it was a mild sunny afternoon, although there were dogs inside. Choice of four real ales, we had two, both were good, as was the service and the prices.
