Staying at a nearby cottage, so popped in here on the Friday night. Bit early, but they were happy for us to order on arrival. Good choice of food, and very tasty. Especially liked the Woodpecker - always a rare treat to find this on tap!

We stopped for an impromptu lunch. They were not busy. Our lunch was enjoyable and the service swift. Our barmaid/waitress, Rachel, was friendly and informative. She is an asset to the business. We recommend this historic Inn.

Went for dinner here in May 2016 before overnight stay for day rallying with Higgins school next day! Good honest pub food, well cooked, good portions and served by two young ladies - a credit to themselves and the pub. Had great steak, very tender with lovely chips and veg. Finished meal with waffle and locally made ice cream -... More

Have enjoyed good meals at the Aleppo over the years but recently have been disappointed with the quality. On last visit had to request a replacement pint of Guinness that did not taste right (and I do know my Guinness). This was changed with no apology offered or word spoken. Then the gammon steak arrived. Small, cremated and hardly edible.... More

Stopped off here for a quick bite at lunchtime, had a laugh and a joke with the friendly staff as soon as we stepped in. Traditional pub with a traditional atmosphere - had a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry Panini and it arrived with chips and a salad - delicious, I would go as far as to say the best panini... More
