Nice clean pub, better looking inside than out. Accepted dogs in the bar. Friendly bar staff & good range of drinks. Waited a ridiculous one hour for 2 burgers, which is why I marked them down. Food when it eventually arrived was good quality.More

Thanks for your feedback, and sorry about that wait, as I told you at the time the waiter was new and hadn't put the ticket through to the kitchen, I'm sure he's learnt that lesson! I made no charge for your second round of drinks...More

We booked in advance for a sunday lunch. Although half full, the kitchen was extremely slow. We could not fault the food when it finally arrived but a 40 minute wait for 4 maincourses was unacceptable. The bar staff tried to say the wait was...More

Just popped in for a drink. Very friendly staff but this is more of a restaurant than a pub. I had a pint of old speckled hen. They obviously don't sell much - or they can't keep their beer as it was not the best...More

Well...thanks for the input. We get through our ales in good time, was likely at the end of the barrel, just one of those things. We are always happy to replace the ales when they are past their best. Pop in again sometime!

According to other reviews it would seem we we were unlucky on the night we dined here. So. me time after we had ordered we were told that there was only 1 portion of sausages available, we were somewhat surprised at this as a fairly...More

Very sorry to hear everything was not up to our usual standard for your experience. The shortages in certain staple ingredients and desserts was due to the heat wave we had causing part of our refrigeration system to fail overnight. Aside from this, more care...More
