All reviews pie cakes wedges salmon skewers sticky toffee pudding sunday lunch fabulous food a lovely young lady exceptional value visited this restaurant previous reviews lovely place coffee and cake cooked to perfection the staff were friendly and helpful interesting decor
We were a Christmas party. 2 starter went back to the Kitchen as weren’t cooked. 3 main courses went to the kitchen because they were inedible. We were offered a whole 2% discount. All we wanted was good food.
We were bought voucher for the Salvage Yard. Service very poor, staff tried but were not trained. Atmosphere cold and impersonal.
Then come to the food, never tasted anything as bad in my life, I ordered trio of sausage. The sausage was boiled and under...cooked cooked at. Tasted awful. My wife’s food was just as bad.
People have told me that when they have been is has been very nice but more have had the same experience as my wife and I.
Couldn’t recommend this place to anyone, which is a same because the place has potential.More
The place is pleasant with interesting decor and the staff were really nice. Sadly the food was terrible. We waited over an hour for our starters and several of us were asked to order something else because the chef didn't have enough ingredients for the...most popular starter of a mini king prawn skewer. At least 2 of us sent the food back as it was so badly prepared it was inedible. My lasagne was overcooked and dry, no sign of any sauce, bolognese or bechamel, and the garlic bread tasted of vinegar. Another person had the fish and chips and it looked dark brown and uninviting and having snapped off a piece of overcooked batter she couldnt eat it.I thought perhaps it was an off night as it was very busy but having read some other reviews my comments about these 2 dishes match another review with the same faults found so it cannot be written off as a mistake.I can only put it down to poor organisation and an incompetent chef. To be fair I wasn't charged for my main meal and I trust the other person wasn't charged for the fish and chips.Others in our group ate some of their meals but a lot was left and the general consensus was that it was a very poor experience not to be repeated. A shame because it could be a really nice night out at a local venue.More
Amazing! Been here for the first time and will be back, was welcomed at the door in a lovely manner by our server Dan, I ordered gammon and my other half ordered lasagne couldn’t believe when the meals came very well presented and tasted amazing....Dan couldn’t do enough, I would recommend this place to anyone. Can’t wait to come back!More
Called in for breakfast, took our order waited for 40 minutes ( nothing)
Asked manager was told it would be at least 10 more minutes ( there were 2 other people in the restaurant) questioned this as a joke and was told it’s up to...you if you stay or leave!!
Thought we’d give them another chance after there 1 star hygiene rating and poor service comments.
Can’t comment on the food as it never arrived.
Real shame but won’t give it another tryMore
Had a lovely leisurely lunch together with friends. Our food was very good and at a great price. We finished off with good coffee. The restaurant is a pleasant welcoming place furnished with reclaimed, upcycled and antique fittings. The staff were very pleasant and engaging, ensuring...we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back.More
We ate here a few months ago and were disappointed with the quality. We had heard that the staff had changed so we decided to try again. Unfortunately the food was still very disappointing. The first courses arrived fairly promptly and were fine, however we...were kept waiting a very long time for the main meals although the place was nearly empty. We had to ask how much longer we would have to wait and were told another five minutes. When they did arrive the lasagne was totally dried out and tasted bland, and the fish and chips were not a lot better. The fish was over cooked with a lot of the batter inedible. Our comments were addressed satisfactorily in the amount we were charged but we would rather have had an enjoyable and tasty meal.More
Decided to give this place a go and so glad we did! Went for Sunday Lunch and from start to finish the service and food were first class. Really lovely ambience and friendly attentative staff. We had three courses for £15 and it was outstanding...and exceptional value for money. I had whitebait served with a lovely Mediterranean salad followed by the roast chicken with all the trimmings cooked to perfection with the best gravy I have ever had. I finished with the salted caramel brownie and cream which was delightful. My husbands food was also lovely and he thoroughly enjoyed it too. After having two lovely coffees we left feeling totally satisfied after having a first class Sunday lunch. On leaving we booked a table for two weeks time when we will be taking family members as well. Thank you all!More
