Went to Maurizios for a Saturday lunch with my partner and a couple of our friends and all of us had a fantastic meal - just over £20 each for a shared starter, main course, soft drinks and a pudding each. Great value for fantastic food, the four of us were comparing the food to the food we ate when... More

The food was really tasty but the restaurant lacks atmosphere. The waitress that served us were lovely but I did witness another group experience a roll of the eyes and over dramatic sigh when they asked for 2 tables to be put together... Had that been me I would have taken my custom elsewhere...she is definitely in the wrong job.

I visited maurizios on a very busy saturday night with some friends, we were greeted with such happy staff members. It was so busy but that didnt make us feel any less special. The food was to die for, the seafood linguine was such a generous portion and so tasty. The pizza my friend had was huge and they really... More

Maurizio's really needs to find a way to reduce the noise level in their restaurant. I am afraid it was unbearable last night and having not been for a few years, it reminded me that was the reason I stopped coming in the first place. E,g. carpets, soft ceiling fabric, heavy curtains, cork walls, etc. The food, unfortunately was very... More

My friend had been coming to this restaurant for some time so I went for lunch. The waitress was rude and it seemed like an annoyance for her that we were even there. We ordered anyway I asked for carbonara and my friend had chilli, garlic and oil spaghetti and garlic bread. The garlic bread was lovely! We were then... More

This is first time I have had such a terrible experience that I have been forced to write a review. We went to Maurizio's with some friends having heard good things about its food. The truth could not be more different - the service was rushed and rude. It seemed the waiters found it too much effort to tell us... More

Maurizios is a bustling busy great Italian Restaurant. Food is consistently excellent. Service is always great. Definitely one of my favourites. Take away pizzas are the best around too.

The waitressing staff were rude and even swore at us because we refused to pay their service charge. The service charge of 10% is NOT a legal obligation, yet they forced us to pay this even though we were unwilling to do so as a result of their behaviour towards us. They would not allow us to leave until the... More

The menu has been revamped at this local Italian restaurant. The food tasted very good although my friend found a toothpick in her sea bass! Bit of a unpleasant surprise . The waitress was as expected very apologetic and the cost was omitted from the bill. Sea food Linguine very tasty.

Booked for a family birthday dinner for 4 on a Saturday in early SEP and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was busy but the service was very good. The food was excellent - good size portions for all courses. I can certainly recommend the lamb cutlets which were superb.
