Today we visited The Treby and we were both extremely impressed with the level of service and the quality of food. The front of house team were very helpful and consistent throughout the meal. Explaining each dish in detail, showing their wide knowledge on the produce which they are serving. The food itself was a delight to eat and I... More

Food that you don't get at home and bursting with flavour. The steak was fantastic, beautifully cooked so it almost dissolved in your mouth. High praise indeed from an Australian. The range of the menu allowed for a very wide range of tastes and occasions. I had the sweetbreads entre and the vegetarian main as well as sharing some of... More

I do wonder if some are fixated by head chef snobbery? Having eaten tonight I have to say both the food and service were superb. Tasty well presented food which in some respects was better than we had eaten here previously. Good flavours, unpretentious and well presented. The service was excellent and the dopey service charge has been abolished. A... More

First of all, may I say I simply can't understand the Review left by colourfulfoodie! I went there for my 70th birthday celebratory lunch on the 13th April, 2017. All seven of us chose different dishes, and we all said that we thought the food was EVEN BETTER since the previous Head Chef left. I would also say that we... More

Took my mum and dad for a Mother's Day treat. Was slightly worried that the change in chef would make this place less special but it really hasnt. We sat upstairs on a nice table in the middle of the room. We didn't have a starter but just shared some souerdough which was lovely - the marmite and mushroom butter... More

A really great English pub - serving fabulous food but not so fabulous that it achieved the Michelin star level - other than the woodland mushroom dish which was exceptional and did deserve the Michelin star. Yes food was locally sourced but when I was excited about being served lichen - I expected at least a tablespoon worth - but... More

We decided to treat ourselves to lunch here. After reading some of the the recent reviews following the departure of the previous head chef we were hesitant. However we had no need to be, from the moment we arrived all the staff were very attentive without be overbearing. We opted for the tasting menu and one of us had the... More

I went with a large group of friends for a friends 70th birthday and we were all stunned by the food. If anything I think the food and the service is even better than when Anton Pietrowski ran it. The starter of Oxtail with leek veloute was staggering, my Brill just perfect, Passionfruit mousse left everyone muttering mmm mmmm... Waiters... More

I’m really shocked by the Michelin star this restaurant holds and can only suspect standards have slipped since the departure of the other head chef. The inconsistency across the quality and size of the food was baffling. The mackerel starter was like something out of a comedy sketch, arriving on an oversized plate when the portion itself was a 2... More

We were passing through the area on our way to a camping pod and thought we'd treat ourselves to lunch at the highly rated Treby Arms. Without going into too much detail we both enjoyed an outstanding starter, main, and dessert, with each dish being of an impossibly high culinary and aesthetic standard. As a vegetarian I often feel somewhat... More
