We nipped in for lunch and the welcome was nice and friendly. We ordered some chips and a salad. We asked for a slice of bread with no butter. They charged us £1.75 for the slice of plain white bread. It was nice enough bread, as bread goes, and it's not like we couldn't afford it - but it did... More

We arrived 2:30 to meet up with 2 friends. Sat in a booth in the main bar but there were plenty of seats (some also booths) in the restaurant area. Log burner wasn't on today but I was glad as I'm always hot - especially when eating and drinking. We only had main courses - 3 beef, I pork. All... More

Food was good, even although they had ran out of a couple of items. I would stop here again, but don't expect the Ritz.

We stayed here in our motor home for one night and had dinner in the bar. Steak pie and chips and gammon steak with a fried egg on top along with three pints came to £20.50 along with free overnight parking in their large level car park. Food was plentiful and well cooked. A bargain we thought, staff very nice... More

Met a friend here for lunch. Gorgeous day so sat outside where the lovely Anna served us, even bringing refills out to us as we were deep in conversation ! Menu nice and varied, inexpensive and the food we had was tasty, good and nicely presented. Ample parking and nice outdoor seating at picnic tables. Staff were polite and friendly,... More

Called in for a drink as we enjoy the pub but the Carling and Coors were both rotten. It was like the lines hadn't been cleaned in weeks. The barmaid changed the first pints but the second were just as bad. Also, they have the worst designed baby changing facilities I have ever seen. a fold down table over a... More

We popped in for Sunday lunch yesterday. We booked an hour before so it was easy to get a table but could have walked in. It doesn't look anything special when you walk in, quite old fashioned and a bit like your Nanna's house but it's clean and well presented. *THEY DON'T TAKE CARD* so make sure you take cash... More

From the outside this place looks very appealing. On entering the side entrance there was just a piece of paper on a side table to tell you they didn't take card payment. There was only one other person at the bar when we arrived and I just thought it was because it was 4:00 in the afternoon so there wouldn't... More
