Popped by on the off-chance there would be a free table for two for Sunday lunch - restaurant fully booked but space in the lovely pub/bar area (which we preferred anyway) - fantastic sashimi tuna starter and one of the best beef roasts around (cracking Yorkshire pud & perfectly cooked veg!) lovely atmosphere, great customer service. Highly recommend - we'll... More

good food - good service - good selection of meals - good wine - good surroundings good atmosphere - just a bit too pricey for the amount you get and to pay £3+ for a side dish of vegetables is a bit much - if the meals were lower in cost I would eat there more.

Called in here on spec for dinner whilst staying in the area. No problems getting a table. The meal was very good with efficient service. The home made bread was excellent, could have eaten a loaf.

This restaurant provides an all round experience for all ages. we were all extremely pleased overall, my only reservation was the starters were very terrine and pate overloaded, I struggled to pick a starter, I chose tuna as a last resort, it was a little disappointing, but nonetheless the evening was a great success, thanks

My wife and I had Sunday lunch at the Lamb today. The roast beef and lamb were excellent as were the accompaniments including large Yorkshire puddings. The puddings were good as well. There is a wide choice of wines to go with the meal. The room was a little noisy, even though it wasn't full as our reservation was at... More

Visited the Lamb at 12:45 on Saturday for a pub lunch. It wasn't busy in the bar with just three tables taken and only two tables occupied in the restaurant. We sat at a table and went to the bar to order drinks and get a menu. Outside a Bill Board was advertising lunch from £7 and two courses from... More

We are sorry the reviewers party were asked to wait for just over an hour when they visited us for lunch. It is always advisable to telephone first and book a table, especially at weekends when we are at our busiest. We always try and accommodate everybody who walks in the door, that is our job and we are very... More

We were staying in the rooms here and so ate in the restaurant on our first night. The food choices were so good we decided to come again for the second night too! The specials changed daily and everything sounded delicious. A favourite in the area, well worth a trip.

We turned up midweek for a late lunch in the Coterie restaurant to find two other groups dining. Warm very clean inviting feel with bright decor. Staff very attentive and friendly. Choice was excellent on fixed and a la carte menus, but we all three went for fixed price two course menu. Celeriac soup, served in attractive way, was very... More

We had a great evening at The Lamb (except for the annoying women sat at the table next to us who decided not to use her inside voice - not the pubs fault of course!). Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the steak and chips option; steaks were perfectly cooked to our requests and the peppercorn sauce was a very tasteful... More
