My wife and I had a pleasant meal served by friendly staff. We ate early because the kitchen closes at 8pm, and this rule seems to be rigoursly adhered to. The portions were very well presented, in a pretty design and were very tasty and...More

Wow! The food was just delicious. I had the cheese ploughmans and it reached and passed all expectations, really great. My dad had the Smoked haddock dish, and that I will be trying on my next visit, it was cheesy and smokey but not too...More

Just come back from this lovely country pub where we had lunch. Awful to admit that in the thirty years of living in littlehampton, I had never been here. I will certainly be returning. The food, service, atmosphere and friendliness were 5*. I chose a...More

Decided to re-visit this pub whilst on a nostalgic visit to nearby Warningcamp. It was packed when we arrived - always a good sign - and we thought we were going to be unlucky for lunch as we hadn't booked. However, a table was found...More

A great destination pub/dining experience in a scenic country village. The pub is owned by a number of villagers who bought it a couple of years ago. The food is imaginative and well presented and delicious. The waiting staff were a bit all over the...More

Description
This unique 17th century Inn houses a wonderful British restaurant and pub. You'll find it at the heart of the delightful Sussex village of Burpham, just 4 km from historic Arundel, surrounded by the glorious South Downs National Park. The menus are classic “best of British” food with a modern twist. Everything is home cooked with the freshest seasonal ingredients, locally sourced where possible. That means the specials menu changes all the time, so your tastebuds will always be delighted. Open for lunch 12-2 or 12-3 weekends, and from 6pm for dinner. Great wine menu and local Real Ale. This is a very family friendly place; well-behaved dogs are welcome to sit under the table in the pub area whilst you dine. Groups, weddings and private parties love it here and come back year after year. Bookings are recommended especially for Sunday lunch as it's always very busy.
