If you want to annoy the locals spread the word about this smashing pub. Stuck at the end of a country lane that leads nowhere other than to the village, we wouldn't have known that the inn was there had it not been for their...More

Bit disappointing as had been recommended here. Staff were pleasant and attentive. Salmon was fairly bland. Gazpacho was nice. Whitebait and pie was average pub food. Did enjoy the Megan Markle pavlova but not sure why it was called that! Red wine bit expensive and...More

Good food and pleasant service making us feel welcome. Food a bit on the pricey side for example nearly £14 for 3 sausages and some mash or chips as an alternative. Overall 4 out of 5 for service and food and 2 out of 5...More

Sadly we do not have a gluten free menu. Currently we serve gluten free bread & a number of gluten free puddings but are not set up to meet the gluten free requirements your wife needs.

This unique 17th century Inn houses a wonderful British restaurant and pub. You'll find it at the heart of the delightful Sussex village of Burpham, just 4 km from historic Arundel, surrounded by the glorious South Downs National Park. The menus are classic “best of British” food with a modern twist. Everything is home cooked with the freshest seasonal ingredients, locally sourced where possible. That means the specials menu changes all the time, so your tastebuds will always be delighted. Open for lunch 12-2 or 12-3 weekends, and from 6pm for dinner. Great wine menu and local Real Ale. This is a very family friendly place; well-behaved dogs are welcome to sit under the table in the pub area whilst you dine. Groups, weddings and private parties love it here and come back year after year. Bookings are recommended especially for Sunday lunch as it's always very busy.
